I'll see that bet - and raise it by one more speculation.

Production may have been almost halted but not necessarily by Hong Kong Nights. Ashley may have been in "Chantal mode" (let's end this now and go off and '______' ; fill in your favorite speculative answer in the blank) for a good bit of the show. I get the feeling I'm watching Annie Oakley in a shooting gallery, picking off the targets one by one. She might have wanted a shotgun to make the job quicker.

I kind of cringed watching Ryan come out of his denial or whatever it was. I guess now he will realize there was a reason why the other guys all got their dates, and even second ones, before him.

my favourite guy last night turned out to be Lucas. I never really gave him much thought, but in the overall of the season he has shown himself to be a true gentleman. Group dates do suck, but he sucked it up and didn't act like a jealous idiot.

Overall, episode was boring, boring, boring - skipped all the Em stuf, dont' care what she had to say.

I just finished watching the episode, I didn't mind this one. I was surprised, I really liked Constantine's date.

Ben's was okay too, but I thought not a lot happened. I might have been too distracted by how beautiful Taiwan is though! I thought he was really genuine when he was talking to her, it's going to be hard if he is F2.

As for JP, I think he is still the frontrunner but I wasn't expecting so much jealously. I think he handled it okay though, better than Chantal did last season. I liked that he was about to explain it to her rather than just kind of have a meltdown in front of her.

The whole Ryan thing was painful to watch because I found it so awkward. Ashley looked so bored during his talk about water heaters.

And Ashley looked gorgeous at the RC!

Post show thoughts -

JP's jealousy was highlighted to show that he actually cares about her... cause goodness knows, nobody else does! None of the other guys show any real emotion about her and are just going through the motions IMO. Ames seems to still be suffering from concussion, or he's tipsy... can't decide which.... but he does seem to always be in lala land. Constantine's date.... dull. Ben's date....buds hanging out. Ryan's date... she just couldn't go through with the evening portion so she bailed PLUS he was making her lose her appetite, and we all know that the girl loves to eat all of her dinner!

Ashley picked out what the guys wore on photoshoot, so it was her choice for JP to wear the tux.... surprise

Ben didn't think JP would get the date rose.... surprise

JP came clean with how he was feeling, good for him, and Ashley was ecstatic to know how much he really cared about her and wanted to be with her and for her to only be with him. I think she would have ended the show then and there if she could have, hence her admitting that she wasn't cut out to be Bach'ette and going through the "process".

And this whole wedding themed season...like I said before, totally subliminal on MF's part to try to get a wedding by the ATFR - without a doubt!

Yea, that made me sit up straight. My friend looked at me and said "why did she ask that?!". I thought it was odd. Did she expect an angry, physical action from him?

Maybe it's happened to her before and she was just making sure? She was satisfied with his answer, as was I, and even gave him the date rose, so I don't think she stressed about it.

no comparison to Chantal - she didn't get that GDR and was floored because he couldn't pick her out of 3. It would've been a better comparison if someone else got that GDR and not JP and seen what his reaction would've been.

True. I meant more in general for Chantal though, because she said the same things on the car racing group date as she did in Anguilla (about him sending her home if he didn't feel for her etc).

I know there are quite a few here who are still undecided about the outcome and EVERYBODY likes Ben and are cringing at what is destined to happen here, especially with all of his "walls down". This is NOT going to be easy to watch AT ALL. The Ryan departure is just foreshadowing of even worse things ahead... which is why we were reminded of "no regrets" by Lucas again.

Bottom line: So, are you seeing what I am seeing here?

... and we can toss in two cancelled pre-RC 1 on 1 "cocktail meetings" this season.

This cry in the below screencap is about the process of eliminating all but one... especially Ryan and Ben who have strong feelings for her... and Ames who also has a strong "connection".

Ames gets eliminated next week in favor of "friend" Dino, who just may have been a "planned initially F2 dumpee" but doesn't on account of dropping out a.k.a. Ali's Frank... just as Bentley was a "planned initial F2 dumpee" before he dropped out. (William just might have made final 3 had there not been a comedy roast.) Simply put, in Bachelorette seasons, F3 is the one the lead has the second strongest connection with after F1 and F2 is the one she is most comfortable eliminating at FRC. This makes me wonder if Ben was being pegged for Final 3 Post-Fantasy Date elimination at this point, just as Chris Lambton and Reid (both ones the lead had her second strongest connection with) were also planned for that spot... only one became F2 by default (Frank leaving) and the other came back after elimination like Ryan will.

It sure LOOKS like she made her decision regarding F1, sort of, back in the Phuket orphanage date IF not in episode #2 when the coin toss delayed everything (Mickey getting the very private LV suite by default) or in ep #3 when they supposedly kept their jammies on ("I just want you to know that if I’m a little bit down today or just kinda feeling like a little more mellow, I’m emotionally drained. I don’t want you to think it has nothing to do with you." / "I will do my best to take your mind off it.")

It may have been officially "consummated" in Hong Kong... I can't see any other explanation for the jealousy or lines like these:

Jordan: Coming off Hong Kong... that was, like, probably the most unbelievable night ever.
Ashley: It was a little wild.
Jordan: But it was amazing!

So yes... the rules were broken this season... and the girl is struggling with "what to do now"
