They didn't even show Lucas doing the cry thing in the car on the way to the airport. It was almost like she kicked him to the curb and TPTB were done with him and couldn't even be bothered showing his reaction in the limo.

Yeah, that was weird. I would have rather seen what Lucas had to say than see Ashley crying. I don't even know why they included that since it has nothing to do with anything, unless to reinforce their edit of Ashley conquering her insecurities?

Lucas has really grown on me this season. I look forward to seeing some kind of interview with him. I think he acted like quite the gentleman at the end.

Maybe it's just me, but I just didn't feel like Ben's date was enough to sway me over to him being F1. It reminded me to much of Ali and Chris. His hometown date preview looks like we are headed that way again.

Honestly, at this point, JP fans aren't going to be swayed or think Ben wins. And vice versa for Ben fans.

I agree. It was missing that spark that she has in her eyes when she is with JP. Ben is sweet, just not the guy for Ashley IMO.

That's probably true. Although, last season I was a big Chantal fan but realized it was Emily after Anguilla. I saw what Brad was feeling after that date and knew he'd pick her. Even though I never saw 'it' between them, he was saying things to and about her that I couldn't deny. I fully expected that to happen with Ben tonight, but it didn't IMO.

When Ben was flirting with the word "love" and trying to explain his feelings, Ashley was looking at him like he was reading the phone book to her. OTOH, if JP was actually reading the phone book, she'd be all about it! She just looks totally into him and hangs on everything he says and what he thinks about her. As usual, JMO and I totally understand that people can feel differently. :D

ETA: Noob and Chas, I'm receiving the CL's dad=Ben's mom and JP's mom=Rob's dad connections loud and clear too.

We should compare her expressions when the sc come out. I thought she looked very sad when Ben was pouring his heart out.
