Heartrending.

I have been following Doug and Jamie for a long time, but lost a tiny bit of respect for her after she ended her blog post about the miscarriage (https://jamieotis.com/2016/07/losing-baby-hehner/) with this: "To understand how much this baby meant to me, you should read my book Wifey 101. The link is below, but you can preview right here on my site for free."

I just don't understand how she could still plug her new book after writing about the baby she literally lost a day ago?

I have to agree with you. That is so tacky IMO.

Maybe another way to look at it could be she does not have the strength or words to reiterate what she went through and that is already documented. 

I am pretty jaded, but don't see it as a plug, but more as I already said all I can say. There are no more words only feelings.

Eh, anyone who's watched MAFS First Year and read Jamie's blog already knows how much Jamie wants to be a mom, so not sure why we'd need to read the book for that. It does kind of seem like a plug to me and reiterates what I don't like about Jamie. She is very shrewd about striking while the iron is hot and this is just not the time IMO.

I have my own thoughts about Jamie and while I personally didn't care for the "plug" I also refuse to judge someone who's going through their own personal hell. I've walked that path twice and I know firsthand just how painful and gutting it is....so I'll give her a pass "this" time.

They chose a name for him. Johnathan Edward.

I will say for myself. I have had 3 misscarriages. One of them was farther along than Jamie's. What may seem "normal" or "understandable" may and likely won't to someone that's gone through it. Speaking for myself....It was so hard to find a way to cope and make myself feel better. Common sense wasn't a part of it at all....just unbelievable grief. Expressing it in a normal matter was farthest from reality at the time. I'd hate to tell you all how I coped....wasn't pretty. At least she is able to express it and let others see how terrible it is to have to face it. I had lost other family members in the past....even those that were on this earth for just 5 short years.....to me, those deaths didn't compare to this as at least they breathed air and had a chance. with my son(yea, I knew he was a boy and named him) he didn't have that chance and as such, it was so much harder to understand not to mention forgive myself for. Christmas is always a hard time of year for us.

Auntie, your post is a great reminder of the old adage " Never criticize a man until you have walked a mike in his moccasins." We all forget this. Prayers to you on this most difficult loss, and on the others too.

Thanks nuts.....just wanted to express that because what Jamie did may not of seemed to make sense or a good thing to do....when you are going through a grief like that, common sense just doesn't always enter the equation. The way my hubs and I now cope is that on his "birth", we light a candle for him every year.....just a way of acknowledging the thoughts/memories of a son that we never had a chance to raise. This happened over 27 yrs ago and it's never our of our minds....just easier to look on and cope with.

Can't stand Jamie. She is all about fame and me, me, me. My apologies for those to take her at face value. I just don't.
