Re: Episode 10 - 7/31 Men Tell All - Discussion - Spoilers
My favorite revelation from Men Tell All is how popular Ames is! I loved seeing that.
Loved all the outtakes. Mickey's were so funny, I wish we'd seen more of him. I wish the producers didn't consider him too much of a grownup to be the next Bachelor. Maybe he'll be on the next Bachelor Pad.
I think Ashley has struggled in a huge way with the public backlash over the Bent situation and it showed. I'm glad they got out in the open through Blake and Ashley's exchange that Ashley hadn't explained herself well to the guys in Ep 6 and that saying she'd fallen for the guy wasn't really an exclusive thing or a story's over situation. That's what I thought and it's also what makes the most sense.
I think a significant part of this season's drama has come from Ashley sputtering and freezing at the the most critical times when it is important to explain herself. She doesn't do well when she can't be completely open and I think there are things she can't say here - she can't call out the producers for beating the storyline into the ground well after she had pretty much moved on and on the show, she didn't do well because there were certain things it's clear she was not allowed to say.
On the bright side, her F1 JP is the person she seems to communicate best with because she spent the season being very open with him.
One moment that was very sweet and obviously heartfelt is how Ashley directed an apology at the guys for the time she had wasted on Bent. I thought that was very classy of her and you could really tell that was something she wanted them to know, not just some PR/producer induced thing.
William's line about how they're on the show because they're all single and can't find a girl to date was awesome! I kind of don't know what he was thinking this whole time, he was just kind of misguided. Either be a character or don't, but he sort of played it the worst way possible. I still feel like he's basically a decent guy but I could be wrong.
I love Ames but I also really enjoyed Ryan P's impression of him. I thought it was good natured and well done. I also liked that he admitted he did not come off well on TV though maybe that was false humility. I would probably watch Ryan P was Bachelor but I'd prefer Ames if available and Mickey. Ben F I'd watch too but I fear how the producers would manipulate him.
It wasn't a great MTA in that I feel like they did a poor job wrapping up a bunch of storylines because they spent too much time on Bent. I expect they cut a lot of stuff out and I'd have preferred more variety of topics.
Looking forward to seeing all these people move on!

I think the main goal of MTA is to highlight possible future bachelors. On Brad's WTA they had Ashley there front and center and asked her opinion about everything. Constantine is already taken and Mickey didn't seem to create much of an impression. They left the show amicably and that's it. TPTB want to focus of possible future bachelors.
I do agree with you on this, maybe they are considering Nick. He did alot , alot of talking last night

Yes, Nick did a lot of talking and I was actually impressed by him, but I don't think he has enough of a "heart breaking storyline" with Ashley that the producers can milk as a justification for having hm as TB.

after last night's men tell all I want Mickey, he is so funny, I think he would be perfect, although I think I am to a point where I would not mind ryan, he seems to have a big personality too. The edit just made him seem to mr. sunshine.
If it is Ryan I will watch

Unfortunately, I don't think the producers will even consider someone like Mickey, who just didn't get enough screen time, and more importantly, left in a way that was not sympathetic to viewers, no matter how justified. It's hard to spin his choosing to leave in the typical "heartbreaking" way that producers insist on using to embark on the new lead's "journey". And Nick, who didn't even get a solo date, is not on their radar at all IMO. He just was outspoken at the MTA and probably made a few good points, so he got some air time, unlike on the previous episodes he was on.
I think at this point their options are Ben, Ryan or Ames, depending on which ones aren't with girlfriends at the time filming starts (well, we know Ryan probably won't be unless he finds a better book), and then either Graham or Michael from BP, depending on how viewers react to them on that show.

I agree with the person that said that Ryan has a chip missing when it comes to social/dating aspects. The show would be a disaster. You think guys leaving Ashley's season was something, wait until his season. Women will be leaving in droves!
Anything I post means it's Just My Opinion. Don't feel like posting it every time I post. So, I thought I'd get that out of the way.

Can someone with a better memory than me tell me if there has ever been an MTA or WTA where the F3 doesn't sit in the hot seat? Couldn't believe Constantine never had to talk directly to Ashley.

Agree. Ryan is annoying because he has a social skills chip missing in his brain. He just doesn't get it... and I don't think he's a "Jake" (worst bachelor ever  ) either. He seems like a well-meaning guy but his season would be a disaster because he has no clue how others perceive him and what to do with women.

discussing his how-to guides!
You're probably right about Ryan becoming JP's shadow so he
could figure out the Jordash connection, which was really a
how-to guide in action!! :giggle:
You both can see it doesn’t take much to amuse me. I could watch a whole season of just Ryan hopping around like a kangaroo and still be amused.

There wasn't anything to tell. I thought it was interesting how he came off as not really of fan of Ashley (facial expressions), or is that just me?

I agree. Post-show I'm getting the vibe that he's not her biggest fan...

Bachelorette's The Men Tell All Special: What You Didn't See

FacebookTweetIt wasn't just bad guy Bentley that you didn't see at The Bachelorette's The Men Tell All reunion special on Sunday night. When Ashley Hebert came face to face with the suitors she sent packing, a few members of the Bachelor Pad 2 cast and Bachelor franchise veterans in Hollywood, there were smiles, sobs and swearing. Here's what you didn't see on TV:
• William Holman, 30, hasn't had any luck finding a girlfriend. "Most people say, 'You're William from The Bachelorette, right? Do you have Blake's number?' " he said. "It's either Blake or Mickey." Yet William told PEOPLE that he only regrets one thing about his experience and it isn't throwing Ben C. under the bus, breaking man code or roasting Ashley. "If I did it all over again, the only thing I would change is calling myself a 30-year-old boy," he said. "I meant young at heart not afraid to grow up or commit. I am not a man-child running around in a Peter Pan costume."
• Ben Castoriano, 28, did not rejoin Jdate.com, the site William told Ashley he was eager to get back to, post-show. He was thrilled to have a chance to explain what was really said (Apparently, online dating was mentioned in a serious conversation with J.P.) to Ashley and America and to confront William about his "supper with Judas." "I wanted to leave with closure and I feel good about [The Men Tell All]," he said. "I don't hold a grudge against William. It was more an immature thing to do than something that indicates that he is a bad person."
• Tim McCormack, 35, stole the show with his New York accent and self-deprecating jabs about his blackout behavior on the first night. He knew he would hear some jokes about his behavior, which he reassured was not characteristic, but decided to face the music – unlike Bentley. "I'm the type of person who likes to look things head on. But maybe if I was [Bentley] and had done what he did, I wouldn't want to be anywhere nears [Men Tell All]," he said. He was thrilled when Ashley ran over to give him a hug and introduce herself.
• When Ames Brown, 31, came up to the hot seat, it was obvious he had fans who applauded at length. But one woman took it a step farther, screaming, "Take it off!"
• Bachelor Bad 2 star Michelle Money, who appeared on Brad Womack's season of The Bachelor, didn't discuss rumors that neither Bentley nor his business is doing well. But she did admit that she was "afraid he would slash my tire" for warning Ashley about him in a text message.
• As Ali Fedotowsky recounted her "normal girl" insecurities and assured Ashley that "you just have to find one," Casey, a suitor from her season, blurted out, "I just thought of another song."
• Former Bachelor Jason Mesnick may not have gotten as big a round of applause as Ames did, but his fans didn't let him return to Seattle feeling underappreciated. When he exited the building post-taping, audience members were waiting in line to be shuttled back to the parking lot. The second they noticed him, clapping broke out as well as shouts of "Congrats," "Way to go," "Good job in there" and "Say hi to Molly for us. She's pretty."

I certainly noticed this during her taped segment with Chris. She seemed very subdued. I think she must be jetlagged and exhausted from all the travel. And perhaps emotionally exhausted as well. They are probably both counting the minutes until the show finishes airing on the west coast. Liberation day!nutty1 wrote:I must say (and I am NOT saying this because Ben isn't F1)...I think Ashley, in both her taped segment with Chris, and during the MTA, didn't seem as happy as she normally does. She looked tired and just not her bubbly self. JMO.
