I don't find the man to be unattractive at all. You are right, he should stay far away. TPTB will not look bad when the show is over, so they will edit everything he says that would discredit the editing of the show.

But, in truth, the guy is a apparently a decent dad. He is also someone who is loved by family and friends and I'm sure he has feelings like we all do. He was just made to look like a terrible person because the show needed a 'character' to promote. Without Bentley all they had was a 'normal love story' to promote as there was no other drama to the show...and that would have never got them their ratings. I'd love it if Reality Steve could get an interview with him to really find out what the truth is behind the edit.

One thing certain, Ashley's departing conversation with him was pretty much without emotion to validate that she was as obsessed and devasted about him as the edit led us to believe. It was as if she said, "What, you aren't interested in me? Oh, ok. Bye." It absolutely did not line up with everything we were shown before that, which makes me believe he and their 'connection' was evidence of a phoney editing job.

Don't they usually announce who the next Bachelor is at the MTA?

I remember that Ali was announced as the next Bachelorette at Jake's ATFR. I guess it depends on how quickly they decide who to make their next lead. I don't think they've decided on the next Bachelor yet.

I bet they announce it after BP2 ends.

It depends how much negotiations are ongoing. Chris L. gave MF a run for his money all summer, said he'd do it, but never signed the contract and they were going back and forth. Then Chris met Peyton mid August and said no for sure. They scrambled to get Brad and announced it late, as taping was to start pretty soon. Remember they had Brad in the audience at DWTS premiere, so whenever that show started is when Brad was announced, right when taping started, I think.

If the next bachelor has signed the contract, they will announce it sooner, but not at the MTA and probably in late August, early September, or a repeat and he'll be in the audience at DWTS premiere.

The reason that the b'ette is announced at the AFTR is because they start filming right away. With the Bach season there are at least a couple of months before filming starts, usually in October

Okay girl...I'm glad you realized the error of your ways after the dot dot dot in you post! We know he was edited to play the role of the villain, but honestly, a lot of the stuff he said we saw come directly out of his mouth. And the substance could not be considered "smart" by any stretch of the imagination.

I could be wrong, (hee hee) but I'm thinking if Bentley was at the MTA, we would know that by now. I actually hope I am wrong because I would like to see him squirm!
