The object of a homerun derby is to hit as many balls as possible out of the ball park (with a certain number of pitches.)
The fact that he won is a pretty big deal. It's hard to hit homeruns in a major league park. Maybe they hit from the pitching mound, sometimes they do that. (Or he can still smack a ball.) Someone commented that Sean hit a home run in the game last night. Both Bachelor boys were looking pretty good apparently
