Last season they focused on Chris and his family rather than Ali and Chris on the HTD. On Roberto's HTD it was centered on Ali and Roberto and whether Ali could fit into his life. I wonder if we will see the same thing this season.

Sounds about right! This was the episode during Ali's season in which Chris L. jumped in popularity with the viewers, so I'm expecting the same to happen with Ben.

Ames could also be a dark horse... who surprisingly leaves this episode much to the shock of the four or five people unspoiled. I have the feeling he will get the most attention this episode.

I don't have the quote, but I know in one interview Ashley said she was already 95% sure of her F1 choice by the time of the HTDs. I would think that would have made it rather difficult to meet the other three guys' families and spend that time with them - but at least in the previews she seems to be enjoying herself very much. I don't know about her, but for me it would be a small bit of torture to meet a man's family and talk about a possible future with him with that family, all the while knowing I was going to break up with him in a few days/couple of weeks at the most.

Ahhh ... but it happens every season. If she already basically knew who she was picking, she would have to discount someone like Ryan who was TOTALLY into her but she just didn't feel so as not to draw him in deeper. I think she knows Constantine isn't anywhere near serious or ready so she can just have fun and let him go and he won't mind. I'm not sure she takes Ames seriously either but wants to meet his family because he's so interesting. She actually likes Ben and of course she's got to impress JP's family because she likes him the most.

Honestly, I wished she hadn't admitted that. It's going to be hard watching it now that we know for sure that 3 out of 4 of the guys tonight didn't have a chance at this point. I know it's most likely true at this point for all the leads, but her saying it makes it real and now we know anything she says about feelings for 3 of these guys is BS.

Ali admitted at the end of her season that she knew the first night. So her entire season was a pretense.

As far as Ashley saying that, it is a little unfair, but I don't think she meant that she didn't feel for those other guys. I'm sure she cared about all of them a lot; it's just that her heart was already leading her in one direction. yes

It's more the fact that she admitted it right before the episode is going to air that bothers me. If she did it after the season was over, no problem. It just makes it harder to watch knowing for sure. On the other hand, it's kind of a good thing for us that she did admit. We'll all be watching this episode closely for clues.
