I get it now, Northeasterners and Canadians feel about hockey the way us "southerners" feel about football, especially college football.

I stopped watching the Longhorns live and tape them, I swore that I am a bad luck charm or something, they do much better when I don't watch. Then I can watch later and ff through the commercials. My hubby jokes that the cats and his family all hide when I am watching the horns, I get very scary yelling at the tv.

I supposed to go see a baseball game next spring and he asked how I am going to avoid the curse in person, but it was never a problem when I was in Austin, so I told him Austin makes me good luck instead of bad.

The rituals can be crazy

If my team gets off to a bad start in the first period, I have a hard time watching. Sometimes I'll follow my hockey twitter friends, then I know when it's safe to put it back on.

When they were tweeting comments such as, wake up anytime now boys, or why is it when we loose we have to loose like this, then I don't watch. It hurts.

GA, I was like that on Saturday. Kings were so embarrassing to watch during the 1st period! Every time they are down by 2 or more goals, they always find a way to come back and win or lose by 1. Should be used to it by now though. #builtfortheplayoffs

I have a friend who posts comments for the Longhorns on Facebook. I actually call him my FB play by play guy. Let's just say he spent a good portion of the beginning of the season drinking heavily...

Linds - that's even worse to be loosing so bad, then come back short. It's a roller coaster of emotions.

I agree! Nothing will be a emotional roller coaster then this past playoffs! It all payed off though. Ah the things we go through for our team.

I just have to bring this thread alive and mention my Habs are once again on their way to winning their game tonight. I love those guys! First in their division, 6th in the league.

Canadian Juniors (World Juniors Cup 2015) are playing Slovakia tomorrow and hopefully after that to the final!!! They are 4-0!

My DH has been watching all the Can & U.S. games, GA. I haven't watched much but will watch the game tomorrow. 

Did I tell you our son gave us tickets to see the Leafs play the Stars the Tuesday before Christmas? It was a fun game & we had great seats. We had some Canadians sitting behind us and there were a lot of Leafs jerseys. Toronto won 4-0 and our Canadian side enjoyed the win. We like the Stars also though.
