MF talked about being open and so did Arie in his tweet.  The fact that Arie put it out there publicly makes me think it's him.  I'm excited!  I guess after the first Bachette lead I really have disliked as much as I usually dislike the Bachelors, I'm really looking forward to a great lead come January.  Arie could really be that.  I actually think it might be a done deal for Arie.  Yay!

I hope you are right regarding Ari. I don't want Nick even though I am a huge fan and Chris, I think, may be a hard sell, only for the lifestyle change it would mean for many women. I did not watch Emily's season, but the pictures and videos confirm to me that Arie would be one hot bachelor and I can't say that many of the recent ones have qualified as all that hot for me. Heck, it might even cause me to watch the season and I have not watched The Bachelor since Brad 2.0....

I must admit I haven't watched since Sean's season ended.  Liked Des on his season, but never could get into her season.  Tried a couple times to watch but never made it threw a whole epi.  I didn't try to watch Juan Pablo or Andi's seasons.

I have mixed feeling about Arie as the Bach.  I always hate seeing what MF and co will do to make the ones I like come out looking bad.  But I said the same for Sean and while I did cringe a couple times during it all, I enjoyed the season and out come.  One of my fav couples from the show.  So if Arie does become the lead, I may have to give in and watch.  And I thought I'd completely moved on from my silly obsession with this show!

I wanted Marcus or Marquel, but neither are going to be the lead. So, I'll take Chris S over Arie or Nick.

My guess it will be RE or Chris.

Marcus, Marcus, Marcus   would've loved a season full of him!!

Arie or Chris?  Both good looking guys, but I vote Arie and a season full of wall kisses!!!  I would have different expectations of the season depending on who they choose. With Chris, I would believe we had a chance at a real LS. With Arie, prob would think just more entertainment and fun, but he just has that sensual chemistry thing going.  Just think atem, Arie is European just like Marcus!!   
The wildcard Nick:  
If the producers of this show could b trusted (which they can't), I would love to see Nick on my TV come winter..but so not sure if he could b a 'good' bachelor manage multiple women.

I don't like Arie.  Sorry.  He does nothing for me.

Nor does being 'European'.

Same here. The only guys from the franchise I really liked are Brad and Arie.
I would absolutely love a full season of Arie as bachelor.
I still remember the video "Arie Luyendyk Jr is hottest"...

i think marcus would have been a great bachelor. marquel too. i'll take arie i guess. i only watched a bit of emily's season but i couldn't understand why she didn't choose him. i don't think it will be nick.

Sounds like he is referring to Nick to me.

One of the things that keep me watching the show all these years is the ridiculousness of it--that and being able to glimpse a locale the show's visiting.
I enjoyed Brad 1.0, but did not want to see him do a Brad 2.0 due to the backlash after his season. I was pleasantly surprised. I loved season 2.
The first season I can remember the fan girl-ism revving into dangerous ground was with Meanna. I liked her well enough with Brad, but felt the writing was on the wall for a huge

A friend of mine was at her ATFR. The crowd was so shocked when she chose Jesse over Jason they BOO'ed her.  They had to call in the national guard so many were committing seppuku.



Since then it seems this is a formula--take a cast person people are fond of and  turn them into the next season's lead and make them road kill the following season --if they're lucky. If they aren't lucky they end up chopped meat or the next Jeffrey Dahmer.  Oh and maybe they find love.

So I can deal with RE--there will be lots of built in shenanigans and pre-fabricated bs. vs Chris who they will have to work a lot harder to manufacture.

Aries got game. Fleiss would trust him to sizzle.

I think casting weekend will determine the lead not public opinion and they are stalling.

They need four to six strong potential matches for the lead to pull off a ten episode story arc and that comes down to chemistry.

I think Arie has a great shot if the right girls for him vs a cute rich farmer show up,in. LA for last interview rounds.
