I do think she will be better at acting the part than Des was - she will probably make me believe more anyway.  Especially if that was just fulfilling her contract with that dance with Marcus.

We will be able to see guys that she does not like very clearly IMO. In that way she is expressive.l The trick will be figuring out the guys that she takes far into the process because yes she is a very good actress. And she takes direction really well. So we have to look for those fleeting moments when her guard comes down and that will be tough.

That is assuming that she actually falls for someone. I'm sure she will be attracted to someone...or maybe several people...at the start. I just don't know if she will stay attracted/interested in the long term. Because she really is a good actress and takes direction well, like you, I suspect I will be looking out for moments not when she shows she is interested but, rather those where she can't hide that she isn't. I also think it will be easier for her to fake interest than to hide disinterest.

Andi reminds me so much of Ali in her behaviour. She was also a good soldier and played well with producers and acted her little heart out. This was in the early days when I was just starting to get into how the show really worked and I was torn between who she would choose. I could make a case out Frank, Roberto or Chris L. I remember the moment...or rather several...that made me realise that it wasn't Chris. (Editing still made me question myself, but, deep down I knew.) There was a moment when she was talking to Ed L and he was saying how much she and Chris had in common and she just looked at him blankly??? Like what???....forgetting that Chris had come home to look after his mom just like she had said she did with her grandma and that, I believe it was, that both their mothers were teachers. I remember thinking, how could you not remember that?...Well, you wouldn't if you could care less. Same deal when he gave her the bracelet. She looked like she could barely muster together a thanks. The longer a guy lasts, the harder it will be for Andi to fake interest. In the words of Ali herself, when it was just too hard to fake it...make out. Let's see who she is always making out with but not really talking to? By process of elimination we should arrive at somebody...for a while at least.

Funny, I never thought for a minute Ali was the least interested in Chris L and I never thought he was serious about her either. We all see things so differently!

Just reading this made me quiver with frustration, reminding me of her season Well said, I couldn't have said it better myself, all of it.

^^ I agree too - I think Andi will be very similar to Ali, which is ok by me because sometimes the better the actress, the more interesting & fun the season to figure out what, if anything, is real and with who. And Andi's guys look to be a great mix like Ali had too. I just hope she can have some genuine vulnerability, softness and caring for the guys, which I didn't always get from Ali (see the examples Sprite listed with Chris).

That's a great way to look at it. Ali had that blank look in her face a lot of the times. It was obvious to me how Ali was acting right from the dropping to the carpet on Jakes season. Other leads act too, some poorly some not bad IMO.

Andi's profession requires a lot of dramatical performances. She is going to show the viewers what she's made of because she's not going to be the star of a show and not do a good job, just like what is required of her in her career. This is why IMO she's a "breath of fresh air". She can and will do whatever is required of her.
