Derek makes me insane how he is always hovering over Amy!  While I admire her greatly for what she's doing, she's a big girl, she's an athlete, I wish he would just give her some space!  I also wish the judges would stop fawning all over her and critique her the same as anyone else.  I understand there are probably some movements she is incapable of doing, fine, I'm sure they take that into consideration, but it's like they're afraid to say anything negative.  Like I said, I admire her but I hope she doesn't just win this on the sympathy vote.  

And what's up with Peta?  I've never seen her so stressed about elimination before!

I don't watch that show she is on, but have seen her before and she is very rude. I had a feeling last night's show was going to have fireworks, and not in a good way. She was so beyond obvious who she liked and didn't like, and by giving the higher score to James instead of Meryl, she can change the outcome of who really deserves it. Irritating!

I like Amy too, and think she is amazing, but it's not really fair to either side because she can't be judged on the things they judge the other contestants for such as pointing their toes, being flat footed, leading, etc. I think Amy is an inspiration and so courageous to get out there and do what she is doing, but it's not right to be judged when not everyone is on equal ground.

I was rolling on the ground when they cut to Peta/James and Danica/Val. I thought Peta was going to pass out or vomit she looked so upset.

I have really enjoyed this season, one of the best so far. I really hope that Maks wins, not only for Meryl who deserves it, IMO, but I would really like him to finally get one. He's paid his dues, and this is the best pairing he's had.

You've hit the nail right on the head with that...I certainly don't want to sound like I'm discrediting Amy for what she is doing, but she can not do the same things that the others are expected to do, and judged on. Meryl is getting hammered for her foot placement in her roll, by that nasty woman and yet Amy is getting praised for sitting in a chair   

After Maks said that he really did not care for anything that that nasty woman had to say, I think that she made it a point to give him and Meryl lower scores....as a payback of sorts.

I have heard of her before, but I have never seen anything that she has been in.  But, she seems to relish having the reputation of being a bitch on wheels.  If I remember correctly, it seems like I heard that she got into a physical fight with the mother of one of her students.  I can not imagine ever wanting her to teach one of my children or grandchildren, especially with that nasty disposition that she displays.

I've assumed it is a coincidence that the posters are favoring the same couple.  I personally would have no problems hearing other views.  I'd like to know who other viewers favor and why.  And I'm not going to get upset if someone expresses why they personally don't care for Maks or Meryl.  I doubt anyone is invested in them the same way they get invested in Bachelor couples.  Well, I hope not at least.

I would like to see more people with differing views posting, but this thread is always pretty slow.

I feel the same way as you, DW. I hope M/M win, but welcome other opinions. I don't consider myself such a fan of theirs that I can't hear negative comments also. Others may feel differently, but I'm okay with all opinions.

I agree with everything that has been said about Amy. I do give her props for going out there every week. Just please stop with worrying about your legs and how it will affect with the dancing!!

I think I might be the only here who has a different opinion on M&M. She is a great dancer, just as good, if not better, then Charlie is, but I do not see a "love" connection. Maks has acted like this with many partners before, and it's just all the same to me. My favorite partnerships of Maks have been with Mel B. and Erin, just don't feel the same when watching Maks&Meryl. Their dances have been so good, yet there have been times when I want more or just not feeling the dances. Loved that he called out both Julianne and ALM because they were both wrong. He is doing a great job with Meryl so far regardless. It may seem like he finally has a shot to win the mirror ball, but with all the sympathy votes and judges praise for Amy, Candace's improvement every week, Charlie competing for that spot with Meryl, and the freestyle (which isn't really Maks' forte.) it's hard to say if they will win. :/ Yes, I would be perfectly fine with them winning but just never know with this show. Ok this is all JMO understand if people don't agree with me. :hidingchair 

Everyone else left is good, but I have been a fan of Candace since Week 1. She has improved every week and that's (mainly) what this show has been about. Just hope she makes it into the finals, along with Charlie and Meryl.

I agree with what others have said. I welcome differing opinions. Like dw_a_mom said, I think it's coincidental that a lot of posters root for the same couple.

That's how I feel too basically. I like Derek and think he is enormously talented. I'm usually a root for the underdog type person, or for someone who hasn't won before. That's why I was so happy when Tony won the all-star season with Melissa. I was happy to see someone new win. I think all of the people that are left this season could win, and I do like them all, but Derek and Mark have won a couple of times, as has Peta. So if Sharna/Charlie or Maks/Meryl won, I would be happy for them.

Valid point about Maks and the freestyle, it definitely worries me.  He HAS to pull out an exciting, tight dance if him and Meryl are going to have any real chance at winning, and so far that has not been his strong suit.  I've not been too thrilled with any of his freestyles.  I have this secret dream that Amy isn't in the finals and Derek offers to help Maks and Meryl win, as if THAT would ever happen, !

A lot of why I'm pulling for Maks is, another poster pointed out, it seems long overdue. But, if another star pulls it all out in the end, so be it. They will deserve to win.

I never saw the season with Mel B but I did enjoy Maks with Erin.  And Kirstie, actually, although that didn't result in brilliant dancing; just, she brought out a fun side in him and it was a relief to have the age difference there to diffuse all the second guessing on showmancing.

Meryl seems to soften him.  That is different than any past partners.  Who knows if there is anything at all romantic there; you can't tell with this show, because their dance characters are supposed to create that illusion.  Which makes it most likely it really is nothing more than professional friendship.  I can live with that; I think he still will have learned a lot from this pairing.
