does anyone know what Brooks' second one on one date card said?  The Madeira date?  I am just trying to tie some loose ends and can't find it in the episode.

hi Lynnta...hoping this reply is not too late...as far as i can recall, the date card said : `lets go to Cloud 9 together..(or something to the effect) :Smiley: `. I am sure if you also asked the same Q on Brooks fan thread, there will be many Brooksters who can give you better answer than mine. Regardless, hope it helps!.

Thanks a lot for your response 'murasaki. I can now move on.(I didn't want to go to the Brooksters) --- I just have to confess that I can't get enough of Chris and Des and their love story!!!! Its a beautiful one and I hope its everlasting for them!

LoL..I know, right??, they are too adorable!..This franchise should be grateful that they have 2 successful, gorgeous couple have ever emerged from their cray2 show.....  .

In SA we are only watching the Bachelorette with Des Hartsock now so very far behind I think - 5 guys left. Cheated of cause which sometimes spoils the show, but could not wait to see who Des chose. What a relief that she chose the tall, dark & handsome Chris they are so perfect together. Could just see the sparks & emotions between them from the beginning. Thanks all for the videos was so great to view them all on the fan forum. Keep us posted please, hear there are wedding bells coming up in just over 4 months time is that correct?

A lot of Brooksters don't hate Chris and Des. I really like Brooks and think the outcome was the right one. Brooks and Des would not have been happy long term and Chris has brought out a level of comfort and love that seems very good for Des.

BTW, I really liked Chris through the whole season and really thought it was a shame that Des was so fixated on Brooks that she might let someone who was great for her pass her by. I just love Brooks, I like him a lot as a person, even more so with the funny personality he himself has shown after the show.

It was the right outcome because Des and Chris know they are meant to be, even if they met on a stupid TV show.  Brooks was NOT into Des and wanted out.  He left right before the FD just like Frank with Ali, Bentley with Ashley, Graham with Deanna.  I am sure I am leaving some out.  Same ole' storyboard with TPTB !      Also, Des was fixated on Chris too.  ;)  Des and Chris fell madly in love after the show and I can't wait for their wedding!!

How can I forget, Sharleen is about to leave Juan and he will pull a "Mesnick!!"

I agree that Chris and Des are the right ones for each other. I am glad for them it worked out, I think she got very lucky. I was personally looking forward to Chris as the bachelor, I thought he would be a fun lead. This outcome made him happy so I think it is great. I think there true love story really happened after taping finished and that is great.

One little thing, Bentley actually left in episode three of Ashley's season. It was Constantine who showed up to the fantasy date and told Ashley he wanted to leave. Ashley's reaction was nothing like Des's. Ashley was a little upset, but generally didn't seem all that bothered. By that point she had pretty much already chosen JP. Des was a mess, it turned out for the best, but unless she is a world class actress, she was devastated, even a day or two later at the rose ceremony. I do think that Chris's love and support got her through it. Ali was upset with Frank, but again, it didn't seem to quite the level of Des.

I agree about the edit.  I rarely trust it, I was fooled with Des, never heard a lead go as far as saying they wanted a proposal from someone other than the F1, that was new for me.  I try to judge who I see the lead chasing after, as to me that has always been a good determinant of who the lead really wants.  It was true for Ashley, Ben, Emily, and Sean.  I saw Des saying she was chasing after Brooks, but her body drew her towards Chris.  They had a really natural chemistry between them.  I kind of see it this season, I think Juan Pablo has chased Nikki and Sharleen and Clare, Renee, and Andi seem to be chasing him.

Funny as I think of it Des kind of reminds me of Ashley in that Ashley fixated on Bentley early and his early departure allowed her to be open to JP, who was the much better guy for her. Des seemed to fixate on Brooks early, thankfully he also left, though much later, and it did allow her to be open to Chris.

Anyway, I am a really big Chris fan and have learned to be happy for him.  I don't care for Des, but as long as Chris is happy with her, then I am happy for them both.

as much as want the wedding coming sooner, i think Chres has clarified on twitter that the account stating the countdown is a fake one.

i still wish them having a beautiful TV wedding for us the fans to see, but if its involving wacky part(s) such as Consummation Station at wedding night handed on a silver plate before our eyes, i'd rather happy for them keeping the vows private. For Fleiss, there is no free lunch: they have to exchange something with something. so i do hope they are smart in making the decisions of a life-time.

Another line I hear is "she better not hurt him." But, yes, I am really crazy about Chris, but I love Des too though, I think she is perfect for our boy, so they makes me very happy.

I really like Des and know she is well respected in the bachelor community. Of course Chris and Des will change and grow but hopefully together. I think she did have a "weird family dynamic" as you put it and that is why she embraces Chris's family and they embrace her. (Her family also loves Chris btw) They make each other very happy and know they are meant to be. They have major physical chemistry but sharing a lot of the same values definitely helps too! ;) I wish them the best and can't wait for their wedding. I believe it will be very warm and romantic.
