Re: Chris Discussion Group
Wow, so your theory is that Des chose to "act" sad and foolish on national TV blubbering and telling the world over and over that she was in love with one man until he eventually dumps her and chooses someone else 5 days later? All the while wanting her "true love" to look like he was some consolation prize in front of his friends, family, and co-workers because she was trying to "play" people. Ha! Ok. Got it! I hope she was well compensated..JBF wrote:"Me thinks" she did more method acting crying with James than she did with Brookie-Pooh. I thought it was quite cute how the editors intermixed their dramas together in the May promos. We even got repeat lines with each: Mike says, over shots of James in the elevator, "It just goes to show that he is not ready for this experience, certainly not ready to be a husband to anyone." (Cue shot of Brooks as ominous "fore-shadowing"... ooooooooh!) In the finale, Chris says "At the last rose ceremony I found out that Brooks wasn’t ready for this."
Personally I think Desie "played" them just as she did Sean on her hometown, first with the ex-boyfriend and then sicking her pit-bull brother on him. James thought he would "go off into the sunset with Des" since he was THAT confident despite her constant nitpicking him of Drew-Kasey tattling and... shock! He gets eliminated. Brooks thought he and Desie were just palsie-walsies until she blubbered she wuved him and wanted to give him her heart... shock! Gotta hand it to that wily dame. She got both of them to Mesnick man-cry on screen much to Fleiss' ghoulish delight.
I think the reason everybody was so shocked about her "turnaround" with Chris was because the boo-hoo-ing may not have been as 100% real as we think it was. Oh I am sure there was some raw emotion there, but not to the extreme that viewers took it. Whenever fireworks and hurricane destruction are required on a date, you know the lead is needing help showing "the heat" on screen. Whenever there is an overkill of poems on screen, sweaters and pillows between bodies, it is more likely production wants to turn the dial down to "cool off"...
Uh oh. Now I am in trouble with the opposition here... the Brooks Battalion will need to yell "Charge!" and come after me. Ha ha! Hey... all ancient history, so it doesn't matter anymore anyway.
Also... at least she got more safehouse time thanks to The Spoilers and Silly Edit. Already had her suitcases packed for Seattle come ATFR time.

JBF - love your thought provoking posts! You were dead on with so many of them.JBF wrote:Chuckle chuckle... I was hoping you would chime in!

Brainstorming is about putting out ideas to start a dialogue. We all know that we won't get all the answers and that some of what we see is real and some is not. Sometimes JBF's posts led me to think about something new we might have missed. I enjoy thinking past what they show us and trying to fit the pieces of the puzzle together. People come to this board for different reasons and it would be great if everyone could be respectful of others, so as not to shut down a discussion that others may find interesting. Disagree with a point all you want, but no need to laugh at or mock.

Like I said, I hope she was well paid. Hell, if someone flashed the right dollar figure at ME and I might do it too

You could be the juiciest, most ripe peach, but there is still going to be someone who doesn't like peaches.

Re: Chris Discussion Group
I love watching interviews now with them but also other alumni. Molly and Jason recently talked about them in their radio show and said Des and Chris were so in love and that after they left dinner, Molly questioned if she and Jason loved each other that much!! Hilarious! You could tell Jason did not want to say too much but loved that Des was here (Seattle). They also said they both really liked them too. Hopefully they become good friends.
I did see an interview with Zach and he did say something that struck me as a little weird. He was naming guys he was friends with on the show. He only named a few and Drew and Chris were on the list but he said that he even though he was close to Des AND Chris, he had to "wait" a little bit or give it some time before he called. I guess it makes sense. Thoughts anyone?? ;)

Re: Chris Discussion Group
You mean that spreecast that Zak did? I think it's a sensible/respectable thing to do... He said he was really close to Chris (especially at the beginning) and Chris' relationship with Des is still in its very early stages... My guess is that he doesn't want to make it too weird for Des (/or Chris) Giving it some time until the season isn't so fresh on their(and his) mind...soccermom333 wrote:Just wanted to get this thread going again. I love Chris and think he is one of the most respected, honest, and sincere man to ever be on the Bachelorette. He is in good company with a few others. Ryan Sutter and JP come to mind. I am sure others can add to the list. I especially like Des ad Chris together and I have always felt that he brings out the best in her. I think she has fallen more in love with him post show. I have a feeling that this next year is going to be a great one for their fans.

I watched the season unspoiled and I REALLY liked Chris throughout the whole season (well, maybe not that much during the final), I absolutely agree with what you said about him... Despite that I can't bring myself to root for/get invested in Chres, but I wish Chris all the best

A little weird, since it has been 4 months now, but I guess whatever he's comfortable with.soccermom333 wrote:Just wanted to get this thread going again. Thanks...that explains it...didn't know he had 2 accounts. Does give you something to ponder on the meaning....grace8136 wrote:He has 2 accounts one private, one public. No R in the private one. This post was from one of his best friends and right around the finale. He may have thought he was liking that comment privately, but the friend's account is public.
