Des has been a straight shooter throughout this show, good or bad. She is a survivor, and she seems to be sincere.
Although, initially I had a problem with an engagement after Brooks dumpster but I got to thinking that if she met him at a grocery store would she go for him? My answer was hell YeAH!

So good luck to them. They seem to be happy, so I'm happy for them. At least these 2 seem to be on the same page as to what they want out of life. And I don't think Des would move to Seattle IF she didn't mean it.

Ironically, if you think about it, their relationship was more like a real one, rather than this show's fantasy. IMO, Des got carried away with Brooks because she had the first date with him, and started fantasizing without giving the others a chance. I think both Chris and Des are good people. If they take their time outside of this show, they may cultivate this into something lasting.

While I'd love to see a photo of them in Seattle, I am glad that all they seem to be promoting is Chris' poetry. Maybe their next stint can be on public radio or at the Seattle library or open mike night at the local coffee shop but I don't see these two heading back to Hollywood anytime soon ... so they popped that reality bubble pretty quickly - possibly the quickest of any former couple ... and it's hello "real" real world.

And, I was one of those Chrisville residents totally hoping he'd be next Bachelor but I think our united top priority was to see Chris happy at ATFR. Those last few days before finale... when so many long time sleuthers from this forum concurred w/RS, Love_Me & San that Brooks was F1 ...  the majority of us (except Mura, of course!) eventually accepted the spoiler of Brooks return and gave up hope. And for me ... lost faith in Des!

BUT ... I found the finale very credible because what Des said made 100 percent sense & totally in character w/what she said she wanted/needed all season long: CHRIS!

Even more important, BOTH looked so happy, confident and relaxed together immediately after the finale at ATFR when three months had passed. Convinced me!

I also agree that if ABC offers a televised wedding, they should grab it! They can have a small, intimate ceremony just for family & friends offscreen and then take that $250K (or whatever the payout) to do just what Grace suggests ... house, establish Des business, etc.

The same can be said for Trista and Ryan, Jason and Molly, and Ashley and JP.  So your point is?????

There is no Chrisville thread anymore, just Cresville, no discussion thread, no episode thread. I am really at a loss for why these threads are missing this time around. If they can get some EXTRA opportunities to make money for their future good for them. The economy isn't that great so any person in their right mind will take career opportunities coming their way. Those 2 don't seem to be in it for fame. I recall the conversation Des and Chris had about her moving to Seattle, because he has a job there. This tells me that they weren't "counting any chickens" from this show, but Chris planned on working a regular job.
They could have instead moved to LA and looked for TV gigs .

I don't have a problem with any of the bach/ette contestants grabbing career  opportunities, as long as it's legitimate, and not some crazy dream chasing , and fame seeking thing.

Whether it is for love or money it doesnt matter. But as long as they are together, they get more money from BachelorNation. She will get some bridal designing gig from ABC or an affiliate. Its a win win whether you end up with someone or not. Besides only the guy upstairs knows the truth, not the bloggers on any of the websites.

Mura, just wanted to say hi before I go off to work :WAVEY:  Our lovebirds are probably still exhausted from the move and Chris might be going back to work today, too. Des needs to do some serious unpacking and probably standing in the middle of their brand new kitchen trying to figure out where to put their plates and glasses (I borrowed this thought from a friend) :cutesmile!:

I agree that's cute....Chris said they are going to publish some of their writings. I am looking forward to reading more from these two, they even got ideas on instagram from folks and a poster here suggested they might collaborate with Zack K.
