I didn't know that some think that. That certainly didn't cross my mind. Not convinced by that either.

One thing Des is quoted as saying in an US magazine article is, "Love isn't always happy. It has it's ups and downs." I believe the only person who we know Des loves that has not given her 100% happiness during her journey, who has had ups and downs with emotions is Brooks. Brooks has also mentioned ups and downs, which I don't think anyone else has. Her #happytears for Monday night points to Brooks.

Really, she would have needed heart surgery not a back adjustment for her to choose anyone but Brooks.

I should say it was a very small minority of Chris fans. But the idea was debated.

How does that work? It had been about several days since the back adjustment when she had the melt down. So the clarity kicked in right at that time. I am confused would she not have gain clarity immediately after the adjustment.

This theory was debated long before the meltdown, after HTD. I agree it doesn't make any sense now, after watching the last episode.

Its a tv show maybe she just didn't want to leave it alone.

Hi I am longtime lurker, and am a big fan of Bres.  I have not been this invested in an ending since Jason's season.  I am trying to stay confident that it is Brooks in the end but those in the Chris forum do lay some convincing arguments.  I was wondering if you guys thing maybe they are paving the way for Brooks to come back and be rejected and maybe become the next bachelor.  They can use the argument that while he had doubts before whether it works, he did end up falling in love with Des, so the show can work.  hey have made the show as much his story as Des'. Plus the rejection would give Des the opportunity to save face and not make Chris look like default.  They may have leaked his name out there early as F1 so that he got the recognition to be the next bachelor and foil the spoilers at the same time.  I really want Brooks to be F1 and not the bachelor so I hope I am wrong but I am getting really paranoid and overanalyzing everything.

:heyyall:  I can see where what you say could make sense, but even with as much as I like Brooks, I just don't see them setting this all up for him to be the next bachelor. I do see where they could be thinking of Chris as a future lead. I think this has been his story as much as Des because she did choose him, but it was not a smooth ride all the way to the end.

I think he was wrong 2x (once with Ali - he said she picked no one) and once with Brad (he picked Chantal while it turned out it was Emily). The thing that worries me from RS last column as he did not seem as 100 percent as he was in previous columns - he kept saying if I am wrong, I am wrong, I'll still be here Tuesday. I really wish we had something, anything to show Brooks as F1 but I am starting to see more of a bachelor edit for him. Hope I am wrong - whlle Chris and Drew are nice, I just don't see the connection that she shows with Brooks. I don't know if I can handle watching the finale either at this point.

I know Chris fans believe that that Chris twitter pic is from a "safehouse" and that that have been "no airport" sightings of Brooks but I started making this a few weeks ago just to see who was spotted where, when, and how often. I gotta tell you I can't find the time in Des' schedule to meet with Chris. I can see where she may have been meeting Brooks in May, June, and early July.

I know a lot of "hey" has been made over 7/20 & 7/21 but Des tweets motivational quotes ALL THE TIME  check this timeline or her twitter one...it seems more coincidental and I'm not 100% convinced it is a safehouse pic. Given the volume of weekends she has spent with her friends I don't see when these "safehouse" visits are happening for her and Chris. I will say that she and Brooks seem to be doing fair job of keeping themselves busy...
