What we do know is that Brooks follows Chris and Drew and Desiree. So, he does want her happy and if that doesn't tell you that he cares deeply for her nothing will.

If Brooks had stayed, he would be F1. Chris fans and Drew fans can spin it any way you want. She literally said Brooks was the front runner since the their first date. This was after a fresh date with Chris S. She was freaking out that Bryden left, because he had a date the same time frame that Brooks did.

In Madeira, Desiree said she was 100% herself with Brooks and he the same with her. So, the fact is that she isn't 100% herself with Drew. Lastly, she shared her passion with only one guy, Brooks...her passion is to be a wedding dress designer.

Look I'm not a real hardcore Chris fan...I just believe she ends up with him based on the clues. Yes Brooks was prob Des's first choice but he didn't love her back so to me that is not real love or passion....it's just one person loving another person and the other person doesn't love them back.

Honestly I don't even think she liked Brooks as much as you all think. She was in love with Sean too and got over him. She didn't even know Brooks that well....only a few weeks. Maybe she will look back at that and just consider it a crush. And really their conversation was boring and the dates were not all that passionate or exciting. I even sometimes felt she had more of connection with Drew. And Chris and Drew fans are not spinning it around...I don't think anyone is saying Brooks wouldn't have been her F1 if he stayed. That was obvious. We are just saying Brooks wasn't in love with her and if that comes out to be true that's nobody's fault or anyone trying to spin things around. It's just a fact. And they aren't meant to be. sorry...it's not a big deal...it's a reality tv show. I feel like people are getting so upset and vested in their relationship and they don't need to be. And gosh if Des and Chris are together...honestly the chances they will end up married aren't that great.

Bee, do you also notice that Brooks almost always brings up 'that could be my future wife' in just about every date they have?  Is that left in for a reason?

Great catch, atem! They are leaving in many little clues along the way.

What was most telling to me was Brooks reaction when Des told him she loved him. He instantly questioned Des why she didn't tell him sooner.  He also had a little grin on his face he couldn't hide.

he prob didn't mind she said that....and he still left. why not stay then if that mattered? that just made him feel worse for dumping her...it didn't make him love her more.

Welllll...where do I begin??? I think Brooks had been told that her connection with the other guys was stronger. I also think he had been told that the other two had said ILY to Des and he was falling behind. So I think his wanting to leave was a defense mechanism. I think Des telling Brooks that she loved him came as a complete surprise to him.

Why didn't he stay? I think he is thinking very strongly about things now that he knows...

Now why in the world would they tell Brooks her connection with the other guys were stronger when they knew Des said she was in love with him. They are risking her walking off the set if Brooks leaves....why would producers or whoever do that. I think that is totally not true. Brooks left cuz he wasn't feeling it. He started looking bored on their dates. He hardly says anything witty around her. He wasn't in love with her.

I've produced and edited film for reality TV and have intimate knowledge of what goes on "behind the scenes". But you don't have to believe me, treschicas. I'm okay with that. I respect everyone's right to have a difference in opinion. Have a good night!

The makings of a reality show fascinate me. I wish someone would write a book or make a movie about it!

You can't really tell when they were said, in what context , or
if it's even a complete thought or just part of one.


I'd put very little stock in the voice overs.

No I did not listen to it. but anyway I still don't see how she could be engaged to Brooks..I could be totally wrong though! I guess this will be an exciting episode to watch...It's funny how this started off as a boring season cuz the spoilers were out and there was no doubt they were true...but now there is drama.

Yes they did create the drama. And they are loving every minute of our obsession with it! Who isn't on the edge of their seat and wishing our weekend away so it can be Monday? This is so good I don't want it to end!

I just reread your blog and it is so awesome the way you worded some of the scenes.  It really breaks my heart to see these 2 in so much pain.

I can't help but think how different it would have been if he would have gone on that date and she could have told him she loved him.

I know, right? She could have soothed his conflicted heart like a healing balm. Now poor Brooks has to agonize over it a few more days. You know the old sayings, absense makes the heart grow fonder...you don't realize what you had til it's gone...if you love something, set it free...

Well the only bright spot in all this drama is that when he comes back you know he will be emotional and she will have no doubt that he truly loves her. If he didn't love her there would be no reason for him to come back.

Personally, I think there was a lot of foreshadowing in his hometown date. Even though we can't prove that they messed with his head, you can see on the hometown date they were setting up for something major to go down. Especially from his brother who asked if Desiree was just gone, out of his life for good, would he do anything and everything to get her back? I'm almost sure that was a producer set up question to hint at whats to come. I'm sure at that point, they knew where Brooks head was at in this whole process and took advantage of that.

I agree. Beyond the spoilers, this is the best hint it's Brooks because CH said the hometown date will be pivotal. Major foreshadowing with the music too.

I agree, too. Nothing stands out in the other three HTDs that I recall which would be pivotal to what happened going forward but those questions in Brooks' HTD.

^^ Chris fans think the back adjustment may have given her clarity. I'm not convinced.
