Well, what's with all of that if she's fixed on picking Brooks? Regardless, I liked that Drew shared more about him to Des away from the cameras, more like IRL.

this guy has been in the background for sooo long that people starts to forget, to much drama this season...easy for Mills and Des to edit him out and out of her blog, ...untill now, she's starting to tell us more about him...

If the ending is REALLY one that no one saw coming, Drew's the man.  He's had a strange edit the whole season, and I've not been able to figure out why someone so handsome was so hidden.  They've even denied the audience shirtless scenes.  The man is seriously hot looking and ripped, yet they've kept his shirt on while showing us everyone else.

I loved that he and Des were able to talk about serious things away from the camera.  He didn't get much one-on-one time with her throughout the season, so at least he was able to let Des see who he really is.  I thought that he had the best HTD also.  His family really seemed to connect with her, and she to them.  I really felt like she didn't want to leave.

I know she has said that it's been Brooks all along, but sometimes it's the slow quiet reliable guy that takes a girl by surprise.  Especially when she if feeling vulnerable and really needing assurance.  Not saying this is what happens, but it would be a great surprise.    

Great post, IzaLurkin. I totally agree; so many great things to recommend Drew for Des... And it would be a great surprise if Des was able to recognize what Drew can offer... and while it's hard to stop my mind from fantasizing that this might actually happen, I'm fighting with myself internally to stay grounded because virtually all of the spoilers have confirmed that Brooks is going to be Des' F1. I'm trying to mitigate the disappointment I will undoubtedly feel when Des rejects Drew. I know that he's happy and moved on in any case, but I'm so invested and I know I'm going to feel bad!

..especially that Drew IS in LA, mingling with her friends, whether she likes it or not, the guy is just there. lol They will be bound to cross paths again and see each other, maybe sooner than we already anticipated. haha Again, it's just fun to think about.

l mean it does somehow makes sense for her to let Drew go after Brooks breaks her heart. She thinks that it is Brooks or no one. At the beach scene with Drew she says that she doesn't know if she can be 100% for him,she doesn't know if she sees a future with them together...cuz she was to invested in Brooks am guessing. Now, l wouldn't be surpried if she also tells him that she loved Brooks, she*s going to apologies for it..he's an reasonable guy, he will understand that this things happen, its not something you can control, it just happen. lf i was him l would have said; if its brooks you want ..its's never going to work.

didn't CH say that they gave Des some time after all of this..?

l swear, l feel like he's everywhere,, even with the former bachelors ...and people still think he's not a potential f1....again.out of the left field... 

Hello Everyone, I'm a new member and this is my first post. I have enjoyed reading everyone's comments for a couple of weeks now. This is my first season watching Bachelorette, never watched Bachelor, but I'm a DWTS fan so learned a little about Melissa R's season and Sean's season. I actually watched episode 1 and did not like it at all. We missed a couple of episodes, the others I only half attended to, basically just catching the Rose Ceremony. I really did not watch much of it at all until HTD. I got interested at that point and spent a few days watching all the episodes!  I have twins with Down syndrome so became very interested in Drew and his wonderful family. I too have a son who is 21, very handsome and sweet like Drew. After watching episodes 6 and 7, I was amazed that I had missed the chemistry between Des and Drew. Of course, they had not highlighted him much before July 1.  I saw the deleted scenes and realized that she seemed to be falling in love with Drew, more than the others.  Anyway, I wanted to hop in and tell you how much I love Drew and his family; he is perfect for Des and I do think he will get the Final Rose. There are many clues, many you have pointed out.  I want to thank all of you for posting the great pics, videos, and the great discussions!

Some things I noticed: The 1st dodgeball match - Brooks withdrew due to boo boo on his finger. The others were eliminated one by one until only Chris and Drew were left, and even though Chris is the athletic one supposedly, Drew won that first match. Drew drives the cars (HTD and Antigua), he initiates, he is in charge, he drives. Brooks was passenger in the Bentley and in the Smart style Car in Madeira. Brooks even had trouble with the canoe, almost tipping it over. He is not in control of situations. He's a passenger along for the ride. She is in control, she drives, she makes decisions, he lags behind. In the last several episodes, the framed pics of the  men at the Rose Ceremony are situated on 2 levels, the top men have been on the top level, the ones eliminated have been on the bottom. In Antigua, while she is talking to Chris H, there are only 2 left, Chris and Drew. Drew's pic is at the top. Also, she wants the fairy tale ending, and she said Drew would treat her like a princess for the rest of her life.  I watched the deleted scene with Chris on the beach, they are building a sand castle, I noticed that the chemistry is subdued, as if they are good friends. She even gives him a peck on the cheek and he does not even try to kiss her back.

I do think ABC Bachelorette is favoring Drew, with the way they have kept him hidden, they want the shocking ending, the upset at the end. Drew was one of the ones with the introductory videos in Episode 1 (Brooks did not have one.).  Drew also received a First Impression Rose the first night, and Brooks did not.  Drew was also the only one to have a Rose going into the Rose Ceremony in episode 7, and their HTD was best one, in my opinion. His family embraced Des most, and Mal told Drew to do what it takes to bring her back into the family.

I do not think Brooks is coming back. I think she tells Chris and Drew the truth about Brooks, and they make the decision to continue forward. I did notice that Brooks' visit with his sister, the date stamp showed April 27 (I think?). I found that to be  odd, because the proposal was either May 6 or May 8?  They had 9 to 11 days to bond further with dates until the end?  That is quite a bit of time for her to spend with Drew and Chris, with Brooks out of sight, her giving all her attention to the other 2.

Des told Brooks she was conflicted because she was sharing her heart with all 3; she wanted to give her whole heart to him. In effect, she is saying that Chris and Drew do have a piece of her heart up until now. She has strong feelings for Chris and Drew obviously. Then we see Drew give her his heart to her as well as a rose, at the locals' party.

cont'd On Des's 1-1 date with Drew in Barcelona (I think that was their only date, is that right?), it rained. And darn if their date didn't get rained out in Antigua. Drew had an umbrella both times, which was very cute. He is sheltering and protecting her from the storms of life. He thinks of her first always.

I think I have learned most of the acronyms used in this forum. But I cannot for the life of me figure out LCD. What does LCD stand for? Thanks so much!!

LCD is last chance date. The last date each guy has before the final rose ceremony

Welcome concerned! Thanks for joining the conversation. You've made wonderful points outlining why we all love Drew here... great observations and reasons why Des should choose Drew as F1. On the other hand, there are the spoilers and many confirmations that Brooks is F1... so I guess we'll just have to see it all play out to understand what was really in Des' heart.
