This is what I say as well. Also, I feel it's Brooks who says, "I'm in love with Des." We certainly haven't heard that yet either. When he says the latter, it's like a revelation. When he says the line about being as in love as he's ever been, I'm thinking it's because after walking away and really sorting out his feelings without pressure plus knowing that Des loves him, he realizes what he feels for her (love) is as strong as what he must have felt for the woman he considered marrying in his past. And I think the close up crying SC is when he returns and he's pouring his heart out. As others have said, happy tears.

This and the fact, i think he never leaves Island. I think Brooks, goes back to where he was staying when CH came to see him. He thinks while she is on the other dates and realizes more than ever before that DES told him she loved him and wanted to give her heart to him. When she told him she loved him on the pier, his words weren't you do, he did act surprised...BUT he said I wish you would have told me before. she says she couldn't at first then says I was going to tell you today. As they are walking he ask her point blank why are you so conflicted ( they must have spoken in detail before this question and after reading her blog about the little notes etc( so Ryanisque )
She explains she wasn't conflicted about being "in love with him", but more how do i go on these dates, give these guys a chance knowing all i want to do is be with you and I am only thinking about you when i am with them. She tells him she wants him to MTP (only the f2 do this, so she knew early on he was one at the end)
That is even more confirmation for Brooks finally that this woman is head over heals for him as he is for her, BUT he was scared because of the group date interaction with other guys, hearing all these final 4 guys saying they love her, and just his own insercurities, etc.

I think while back at his room, he breaks down He realizes the one question his brother asked him, is... this " the is not is this somene you can live with BUT more is this someone you can live without" and that is when he realizes and goes to her and professes his love, begs for forgivenss for breaking her heart and putting her through the emotional turn oil. I think "BOTH" realize this is to good to give up and in the end she accepts his proposal, and gives him the final rose.
The After the rose is going to be emotional as you know CH is going to be tough on them both. Seeing the other guys and getting their quesitons is going to be tough knowing they have now seen how she felt all along. But I will say, I admire Brooks for being "REAL, RAW and true to who he is and that at the end of the day, they will get their HAPPY ENDING. Not to mention he picks a gorgeous engagement ring our for her as well. :-)

I just watched he was less negative than I thought...frankly, I don't get "riveting" from anything Drew or Chris but we shall see...

I gather they are excited about the reaction from last night and he's being told to tease the finale to Bachelor Nation..

The teasing is working! I can't believe how much activity there is on Twitter after last night's show.

If they had to resort to passing notes, doesn't that mean that the show wouldn't let them have any alone time? I wonder if that's why Brooks literally yanked her somewhere at that AC cocktail party?

I saw nothing bad in what CH said in that Extra interview. I like CH and he is leaving the door open now for Brooks to possibly return. He's not being negative about Brooks at all. And I do find it riveting. This is, to me, the kind of stuff that makes great romantic stories. Even Pride & Prejudice wasn't without its pain and loss and leaving and broken hearts. That's just not realistic to have love without pain.

I remember people questioning Brooks about saying that there is something painful about love, and I agree with him. It is a sort of pain you feel and a sort of vulnerability you feel. You are putting your heart out there and when you're not around them you miss them; you're vulnerable to getting hurt. That's what Brooks was trying to say in his less than articulate way.

Anyway, the spoilers say he's the F1 so even though I could see this going several ways, I have to think there's a possibility he comes back and "wins." I can see the possibility of him staying away, too. I can see Des "waking up" and realizing she should go with someone who says he's in love with her, like Chris. Maybe she finally wakes up to reality and no longer needing the fairytale. Maybe Brooks was her last Prince Charming; now it's more real life.

All I know is I've really enjoyed the Brooks and Des story and I'm not ready for it to end, yet, and on such a sad note. I can't wait until I know how I can feel next week.

Whether or not Brooks and Des end up together they both have a fan in me. I just would like the Brooks and Des story to have better closure fitting of the rest of the season.

Sean and Catherine passed notes also. I think it is more common than we realize.

In CH interview this morning on GMA he was very negative
towards Brooks saying " he did not reciprocate Des '
feelings and there were numerous red flags she chose to ignore".

I think his extra interview he's cracking the door open for a return by Brooks- but not a happy ending for them ...

He didn't seem negative at all towards Brooks and I didn't hear any negativity in the second one, either. He seems to be just stating things as is, no comments about how he feels about anything. And yes, he left the door open a crack now . . . of course.

Something that keeps pestering me and squashing my hope for a happy ending is that the finale has been promoted as riveting but not romantic. I would think that if Brooks sweeps back in for his lady love it would be... "THE MOST ROMANTIC FINALE EVER" I feel like TPTB are preparing me for something lackluster

If they say romantic it gives it away. And also, he kind of ruined the romance when he dumped her at the FD. Just sayin. Doesn't mean that they can't give it a shot, try to work it out. But it will never be most romantic.
