Who the heck said I'm as in love as I've ever been? I know to me it's Brooks who says it. So I'm going to hope for a reconciliation it's due to those words and the yet to be seen crying SC of Brooks. I will ignore all the red flags we get on twitter, blogs, the cruise, etc...if it's not meant to be I'll find out next week anyway. I've waited this long to find out. One more week won't hurt.

This is what I say as well.  Also, I feel it's Brooks who says, "I'm in love with Des."  We certainly haven't heard that yet either.  When he says the latter, it's like a revelation.  When he says the line about being as in love as he's ever been, I'm thinking it's because after walking away and really sorting out his feelings without pressure plus knowing that Des loves him, he realizes what he feels for her (love) is as strong as what he must have felt for the woman he considered marrying in his past.  And I think the close up crying SC is when he returns and he's pouring his heart out.  As others have said, happy tears.

 In which episode do you hear Brooks say "I'm in love with Des" because I can't find it..

I am still trying to process everything, but I'm looking forward to the show next week and, for some strange reason, I'm very confident that Brooks comes back and that Des is engaged to him. It just all makes sense and adds up. Nothing else does.

I'm seeing the same outcome.

What i wonder about is why he says "this did not go the way i thought it would?" (something like that)

This and the fact, i think he never leaves Island. I think Brooks, goes back to where he was staying when CH came to see him. He thinks while she is on the other dates and realizes more than ever before that DES told him she loved him and wanted to give her heart to him. When she told him she loved him on the pier, his words weren't you do, he did act surprised...BUT he said I wish you would have told me before. she says she couldn't at first then says I was going to tell you today. As they are walking he ask her point blank why are you so conflicted ( they must have spoken in detail before this question and after reading her blog about the little notes etc( so Ryanisque )
She explains she wasn't conflicted about being "in love with him", but more how do i go on these dates, give these guys a chance knowing all i want to do is be with you and I am only thinking about you when i am with them. She tells him she wants him to MTP (only the f2 do this, so she knew early on he was one at the end)
That is even more confirmation for Brooks finally that this woman is head over heals for him as he is for her, BUT he was scared because of the group date interaction with other guys, hearing all these final 4 guys saying they love her, and just his own insercurities, etc.

I think while back at his room, he breaks down He realizes the one question his brother asked him, is... this " the is not is this somene you can live with BUT more is this someone you can live without" and that is when he realizes and goes to her and professes his love, begs for forgivenss for breaking her heart and putting her through the emotional turn oil. I think "BOTH" realize this is to good to give up and in the end she accepts his proposal, and gives him the final rose.
The After the rose is going to be emotional as you know CH is going to be tough on them both. Seeing the other guys and getting their quesitons is going to be tough knowing they have now seen how she felt all along. But I will say, I admire Brooks for being "REAL, RAW and true to who he is and that at the end of the day, they will get their HAPPY ENDING. Not to mention he picks a gorgeous engagement ring our for her as well. :-)

My personal belief after weeks of back and forth - guess you can call me the Brooks of this board :P - is that RS is getting snowed big time. I hope everyone of TPTB tweets him a pic of their naked behinds on finale night with hashtag #kissthissucka. While I deeply respect LoveMe, San, Sophie, and Later I think they are victim to the MF machine that just wanted to get RS this season and hopefully, discredit him once and for all. They have to be bitter over that lawsuit...what better revenge? BTW, if I am wrong I will wholeheartedly apologize for ever doubting them and be thrilled for them.

As for MTA and Brooks being there. This is a myth, IMO.  And so obvious that I'm surprised that that is something RS is clinging to as "proof". The minute everything went down MF knew he had ratings gold...the last hour of that show was all Des/Brooks. Its actually smart to separate it because its builds the tension. Do you really want to have Brooks and Des' first encounter since that emotional and dramatic end to be accompanied by reaction shots of James' and Ben's smug mugs? And what give them 5 to 7 minutes just before bloopers and Zak's song. That thing was two hours and they didn't even talk to Bryden.

No way...its much more interesting TV this way and anyone who took a standard TV/Radio course in college would tell you that. MF and team have one goal to sell advertising, how do you get advertising. You guess it, ratings. MTA traditionally is the poorest ratings driver but the finale is the biggest draw. Its much more entertaining to have Brooks there with her default F1 behind the scene eavesdropping as CH asks painful obvious questions first Brooks, then to Des/Brooks face to face, and finally to Des and F1. You don't want to rush these things guys.

We've only heard that (to my knowledge) as a VO and I believe it was in a couple of previews but sadly I don't recall which ones. I did listen to the VO over and over and over, and believe it's Brooks.

I still think she ends up with Chris, but I just don't know how at this point. How do you tell a man you love him one week and then get engaged to another the next week? I don't think Desiree's heart could do that. Something has to happen... something we haven't seen on the show before. I'm honestly wondering if Brooks comes back or if Desiree goes home next week to take a few weeks to herself before the "final rose ceremony." I feel like one of those two things has to happen for her to end up with anyone. I guess we will see next week.

I actually agreed with everything RS had in his blog today. Especially this part

I'll also say that Ali is one confused person. She still thinks she ends up with Chris, but the only possible things that make sense is if Brooks comes back or she goes home alone. Mmm. Okay, Ali. Good job not taking a position.
