The moment the words fell out of Brooks' brother's mouth, I knew we had our ending. This was all a set up of the master plan from early on, making it look like Brooks was dragging behind and unwilling to commit. I don't believe for a moment that MF lives such a good life that the gods smiled down on him and gave him not only the discussion with the brother, but also the one with his sister.

Good thoughts, ATEM, on Brooks' reaction as Zak was being walked out. I think Chris said something like, " he looked shocked" and Brooks replied, " I don't think he saw it coming" which might have set the wheels in motion in his head. I remember questioning why they left that little exchange in, but this might shed some light on it.

This is not going to be the usual ending that we have come to know and love. This is not the typical season that we have seen so far with the Lead declaring their chosen so early on. So I don't think the old rules (as we know them) apply.

It's either Brooks or she walks away alone. And we know she doesn't walk away alone. There is no way they can convince me that she suddenly fell more deeply in love with Chris or Drew than she was with Brooks in just a few days time. Or that it was really Chris or Drew all the time, and she just didn't realize it.

The Chevron Stripes, The white one with little black animals, and this one! Its either that or he has all his clothes in storage prepping for a move to CA to be with Des?! Hugesmile

Don't forget the polka dot one. Oh, no, he also has that white button-down one. Oh, and that plaid one from his HTD. :Smiley: Isn't that blue v-neck his, too? Only a few shirts. A man after my own heart again, then. Would rather spend his money traveling, it seems (even before Des, if she's in the pic). I know the feeling.

BTW, Brooks' sister-in-law says Brooks has traveled a lot post-show, but it's no more than he usually does.

Still bummed about so close, so far away last night.

I think it's interesting how you say body frame, not body. Body frame is most important, though. It's like cheekbones. You either have it or you don't. There's nothing you can do about it. Bone structure. You got a great bone structure you've got a lot to work with.

Just jabbering because still in pain from last night.

One thing Brooks is going to motivate me to do, especially if I don't meet him, is go home to KC and start eating like him. Mostly veggies, very healthy, his sister-in-law says. It's not like we haven't tried to do that, already. But I think I'm going completely vegetarian. And exercising like him, too. It's the least I can take away from my second trip to SLC this summer. I admire his healthy resolve and leanness a lot.

All is not lost, though. We have a third trip in September. *sigh* We're going to get sick of driving to SLC.

I wish. Well, my hub does want to start a sound business in KC. However, it's in KC. :Smiley: And even if I did need help, most likely one of the other guys would help me. Me, walking into the Fit Marketing building. Dude, "Can I help you?" Me, "No. Only Brooks can help me." giggling

I'm sure this has been discussed in full length before but I was just watching the previews that they aired on the first night about the upcoming season and there is a VO of Brooks that says "It's way worse than I thought it was going to be. There's nothing I can say, you know, to make it better." It also sounds like he is crying pretty hard. We don't specifically know what he told Des but I don't think, whatever it is, he expected her to react the way that she did. I'm almost sure this finale is going to turn me into a blubbering mess. The only good thing is they all seem pretty happy now.
