Oh wow it's already started. : ( It don't bother me one bit that he kissed a cougar, but I didn't like the part that said he had a girlfriend when all this happened, but we've all made mistakes.. That's how we learn, I guess...

I fully expect to be fully entertained, just like Fleiss promised. And a little sad, as well. :Frown: It'd be full-on depressing if we didn't have hope of a return. It still might be depressing to see them sad.

That story was a big nothing 3 weeks ago and it still is now!
The only reason that girl is saying he had a gf is because RS claims he did.
Who leaves there supposed GF on NYE?!
As an older woman, I don't get it, if he was 51 making out with a 26 year nothing would be said... who cares how old she was as long as she was legal
Very true LOL

I do find this funny. Our friend who married a woman 9 years older than him but she died of cancer at 62 just announced he's in love again. She's 32 and he's 58. They look perfect with each other and we're happy. So true about the male vs female aspect.

I am for Brooks, separately. I'm like his mom in what she said, that I will accept whomever Brooks loves (as long as she's a good person). So, if Brooks chose Desiree, I'd be happy for THEM. But, if Brooks didn't choose Desiree, I'd be all for Brooks. It's okay. He can find someone else.
Do you mind me asking how you feel about Des? You can PM me the answer if you'd like to or you don't have to answer me at all. : ).
I wasn't sure if I'd like her coming into the season. Didn't think she was really that big of deal, Sean's. I think I was leery because I got so burned with Emily. Not that I ever liked Emily (and my dislike just grew over the season), but at Jef's proposal and after the show, any good will just went out the door. Jef, despite what "public opinion" would say, is a very nice, affable, good guy and definitely deserves a lot better than he got. Maybe he just needs to look at the kinds of shallow girls he picks.
Anyway, Des immediately grew on me. I REALLY liked her. Still really like her, and I usually don't like the female (or male, for that matter) leads. But, at the end of the day, I am a Brooks fan, first and foremost. Nobody messes with Brooks. And if Des wasn't good for him I wouldn't want it. If Brooks fell head over heels in love with her, then I'm beyond happy for him and her.
I've been waiting for a signal that Brooks is truly in love (and didn't just swallow the Bach bubble after all his fight). I think I might've finally gotten it.

But that one article I just read about him caring deeply and almost immediately regretting his decision to leave her makes it clear to me. Also, her overanlyzation comment. It all adds up now and it makes it very apparent that my boy is indeed in love and didn't just make some stupid decision. They may yet not make it, but at least, at the time of the show, I totally believe Brooks fell in love with Des.
Now, it all makes sense. Him leaving, yet his "This is the worst day of my life. There's nothing I can say." And then they get engaged. Makes perfect sense to me now. Almost immediately after he lets her go he regrets it because the overanalyzation, naturally, goes out the door and all he's left with is being able to keenly feel he loves her, which prompts him to come running back and makes it conceivable that he should and does propose to her.
When he loses her, when she's out of his life, like his brother said in that pivotal moment, he almost immediately sees he doesn't want to live without her.
My Brooksy fell in love.
And it might all be darn romantic.
The only thing that still bugs me is, what in the world is Nate Hartsock doing? Is he just trying to deflect the truth?
Canyon can you tell us what article you read that said Brooks regretted his decision?

Nanny, here's the excerpt
Sorry this is the excerpt I saw. Where does it say that "he changed his mind" are you referring to the fact that he regretted his choice "almost immediately?"
"She was looking forward to romantic horseback rides, sailing trips - and candlelit dinners that ended with the couple foregoing their individual rooms. But in the middle of their date, the man Hartsock considered a potential husband told her was walking away from their relationship, crushing any chance of a future together. In a major understatement, the show insider note, "She was very emotional", at point, a sniffling Hartsock whimpers, "I just want to go home."
What caused this shattering change of heart? Reality - an the idea of dropping to one knee with the traditional Neil Lane rock - got too real."
"The man cared deeply for Des. His feeling were incredibly strong which made his decision difficult". In the painful aftermath, say the source, he regretted his choice "almost immediately".

Pattycake92 wrote:It's in the media thread. It says he regretted it almost immediately. We are going to get ALOT of footage of him being distraught. It's gonna break my heart. TPTB probably encouraged him to do this. I wouldn't put it past them to feed on his insecurities just to create drama. They might have told him that she was leaning towards picking another. They've done that in the past!!
I keep thinking about how Molly said she was asked to tell Jason something she didn't want too and was told if she doesn't , they'd make sure she'd get eliminated . WHOA! Tell me about mind games !
