Is anyone else sad how all of a sudden this is reminding them more of Ed's season?  Don't freak out.  I think Brooks is a thousand times better than Ed.  I just could have done without the whole story behind his make out session with a woman that appears to be just a little younger than his mother.

Well, his mom IS his favorite person in the whole world. And no, the woman is a vast deal younger. His mom is something like 72. That woman is supposedly in her early 50s.

Obviously, he didn't do it because he lost a bet. He was truly into that woman. Got her number and arranged to hook up later. Made out for FIVE hours.

And we are suppose to believe this is true coming from a rag mag?

I would say something about it if the roles were reversed! Maybe it was a bet. Regardless, seems out of character for him. But then again, I don't really know anything about him.

I don't think Brooks family talks him out of anything either but is it possible something that comes up during their conversation makes him doubt himself in some way? What if I know I love her and she doesn't pick me? Am I good enough? Is it too quick to propose? I hate it that she continues to be with these other two guys...maybe she's saying the same thing to them? It could be any number of things. I have no doubt that his mom and sister support his relationship with Des. This guy is a thinker though and wants to be sure.

I still think it is Brooks as F1 because of spoilers, how dramatic the ending will be if he leaves and comes back (fitting to what TPTB are saying about the season), and mostly because she is just so crazy about him. I don't see any real connection with Drew. I see a connection with Chris but it's not at the same level as Brooks.

It's times like these where I really wish I could just call Brooks up and ask him questions. I'd really like to know what he thinks of this and what, exactly, he was doing. And then swear on my life that I'd never repeat it.
