What's wrong with how Brooks is being portrayed?

I have had concerns about them making it long term based on Brooks' apparent questions about his feelings.  But the funny thing is, he is the only one that is really sitting back and questioning thing and making sure it's right.

Just read the ABC media release about next weeks episode via Reality Steve and Brooks being at home with his family and talking things through with his sister and his mom and then flying to Antigua, once again just shows me how serious he is taking this.  I do wonder what it is that he tells Chris H. and Chris H. says you HAVE to tell Des about this.  I'm wondering about an old girlfriend......heck it even crossed my mind could an old girlfriend be pregnant.......heck my mind is going crazy.

I do feel better about them as a long term couple though.

I saw this on Wetpaint and thought I'd bring the Brooks part over.

Meanwhile, Brooks is back with his family in the U.S., torn between his strong feelings for Desiree when he is with her and the insecurities he feels when he is not. His mom and sister offer heartfelt advice about the tough decision he is facing. Desiree is everything he would want in a wife, and there is no denying their emotional and physical attraction to one another. Brooks wants to make sure that, if he is the last man standing, that he has the confidence to put an engagement ring on her finger. I am thinking that he tells Des that he's not sure if he can  propose but he ends up proposing after all.

See! We do have handlers as good as the ones that messed with Des,   Brooks, Chris and Drew's mind.

Neither Desiree or Brooks is gonna come out smelling like roses. He's gonna look wishy washy and Des will look like a fool for taking him back. (If the finale pans out how the boards think it will.) Even though I like both Chris and Brooks, I'd rather her choose Brooks because anybody else just seems like someone Desiree is settling for. And who goes on a show like this to settle?

If he's fine with her settling with him (Chris S), then why would she care?  

Because it's not about what Chris is fine with because she came on this show for love her way, to find what her heart wants/needs. Unless she starts really talking about Chris the way she has talked about Brooks and we can see that more was hidden about her feelings with Chris than shown, I will feel she settled. No one should settle. If she rejects Brooks outright, that may help some. But how could they show Chris any more, he's getting a lot of screen time, romantic date time, etc. it's hard to say one way or another what he is thinking in the limo shot we have of him. It doesn't read nervous to me on first glance. I don't see how we have two F1 spoilers and neither were Chris but yet everyone is starting to think he is. I think that's what they want everyone to think, and then when it's Brooks, it's a shock.

The one thing I will say regarding the default is if brooks returns and Des rejects him , then her F1 is NOT the default. However, if Brooks returns and she takes him back (and is f1) I'm afraid that it could reflect poorly on her especially since Chris and drew never wavered

I don't know.  You love who you love.  I'd take someone who may break my heart if I had stronger feelings for that person than another.  The risk is worth the potential reward.

That's the way I look at it, and to everyone else let them think what they want to.  If she didn't try, she'd never know and she may live to regret that.  At least I think she would.  I've been there, done that.

i definitely think she'll take him back. she's gaga over him. their whole conflict will happen over the span of a few days at most if not one or two days. she's not going to settle. look how easily swayed she was by james and barely got rid of him. she tried to be all tough at the MTA last night but it was obviously not genuine. she was trying to be like emily and ali but she is so not like them. she's a total softy. if i lost someone i was totally crazy about and they came back i'd take them back if they were genuinely sorry. no way would i go with a safe choice. some people do go for safe. some of us don't.
