I really think its going to be not as big a deal as they are making it out to be in the previews.  I do think he tells CH he loves her but can't propose yet, which is why he has to go talk to Des.  I don't think he tells des he loves her yet, but do think he says he can't propose.  Of course after 2 dates with 2 other great men who are telling her everything she wants to hear, she freaks out.  Dumps him, what happens after that and how he comes back, who knows.

As for the "explosive finale", it will probably be the earthquake.  

That 'earthquake' was so light, no one felt it.

He has been watching with family and friends.  He follows Desiree, Chris and Drew.  Seems like he's fine with it.

Where do you see that? When he watched with that girl, he was having fun and she was saying how funny he was.

Brooks has to entertain his crowd. I watched the show with Jef Holm (still can't believe I did that—why couldn't it have been Brooks instead?) and Jef put on a show for the people there, getting mad when Emily kissed other guys. Maybe he felt it a little, but he definitely overdid it for our benefit. He was funny/cute.

Since you're visiting SLC maybe you should just wonder over to where he works and check him out.

As for the shocking news Brooks has to tell CH, I guess it just is that he's not into Des. Other than that I can only think it'd have something to do with another girl.

This is the part that interests me, and I'm not sure what all has already been discussed about it.

Reading the whole tease, and thinking about how we expect the season to end, and knowing that she already seems to be aware he is more hesitant in the process than she is, I'm betting on something in his background or health condition that he hasn't told her. Or something that he let her believe is true when it isn't (not lying so much as not discussing). Also could be as simple as "I told you I'd like to move, but I've changed my mind." Nothing is ever as "shocking" as they play it up to be, but it does have to be enough to elicit some tears by exhausted cast members in an intense situation. Whatever the issue is, to us, it would look like a big deal, even if it may have felt that way in the moment.

I guess I'm thinking the conversation has Des rethinking their relationship a bit, and having to decide what she wants most in a relationship, and then realizing that whatever this news is, it doesn't matter to her as much as simply being with him does.

That I guess is my vote on it, we'll see when we see, but I'm voting that Brooks reveals something about himself in the interest of full disclosure, and the episode will end with us left hanging on how Des will respond to the news.

That would be funny. It would definitely be something they weren't prepared for.

So what is the general consensus? Do you think Brooks still "leaves" after he returns from seeing his family? (which may not even have gone down like they said, I believe he stayed back and did that filming after the HTD). Or does he "return" from home, he and Des have a meltdown over whatever the shocking news is, and then they kiss and make up?? I cannot imagine him leaving after just supposedly returning. I think it was made to be more drama than it was, and I have to wonder how much was contrived.

I don't know. (1) He tells her he is unsure of his feelings when he's not with her, not sure he can propose at end.  She gets upset but he doesn't leave.  F3 RC is the cliff hanger.  Who does send home: one of two guys who want to propose and say they are in love? or the unsure one that she loves. (2) he leaves.  Realizes he loves her when faced with not seeing her again, and returns for FRC.  In either scenario it seems odd that he would propose.

My money is on (1).  Otherwise it makes very little sense to me that he would change his mind so quickly and he comes off as completely not knowing what he wants.  I think while he is nervous, cautious, doubtful, even they are playing this up.  It's making him look very wishy washy.  

My vote (as just posted above) is that he reveals something about himself that he expects her to be unhappy about, and that they close the episode with the cliff hanger of if she will accept him as he is on this item.

I hope you guys are right about "the look".  I am really hoping for a Des and Brooks happy ending!  I wish we had a screen shot of the look on her face.

I did some googling today to check out timeline, and there were lots of reports of it waking people up. It happened during the night, very early morning. I think they are just playing it up, just like this excerpt "but there are surprises in store for Desiree that will shake her world". Guess we'll find out next week, wish it could be a Mon/Tues 2 part finale and not a week apart.

 Oh, you know . . . that's almost tempting. I mean, you know, when my hub is busy with something else, why not go for a little drive all the way to Lehi. I wouldn't know what to say. I wouldn't want to hang outside. I don't want to look like a stalker. If only his business actually had anything to do with something I could use.

oh, ye all of little faith... trust in what you have seen so far, what Des has said and what Brooks has said.  we are in a bumpy place, but love wins in the end.  there are not many couples that I have known who have not hit a slippery spot on the road, and if it is love, we find a way to get our footing.  

there are just too many words and phrases that have been left in by tptb for me to believe otherwise.  I had posted this somewhere else regarding Des and Brooks entrance into his sisters home on his htd.

I don't think for one minute that Brooks leaves, and am assured Brooks is F1, Chris is F2, Drew is F3.  I don't know how they get to the end but I trust that the love story will play out exactly as it should.  for once fleiss can give us what we have cried about for years and years, "just show us the love story, the real one" and he has this year because of Des and Brooks... only with his twist and turns that have been added to create angst.

but the underlying story is that girl loves guy (Des loves Brooks), guy loves girl (but how can this be possible in this short of time period? Brooks admits to his mom that the walls that he had around his heart are down, and that to put yourself in a vulnerable spot and take a chance on getting your heart broke is hard, but what is necessary. his mom asks if he is there yet, and he says yes, more than he has ever been in his whole life and that he is so pleasantly surprised with Des and their relationship.  he also admits that he and Des are closer to the union of marriage now more than ever.)

the fairy tale will come full circle I believe.  if it doesn't happen, then the sources for the spoilers have had one pulled over on them and more power to MF and company.  RS is not the only spoiler source, and don't for a moment believe that his source is the single one. I came to the site this year to confirm, then to participate and ponder... this love story has drawn me in, as it has many of you.

What's wrong with how Brooks is being portrayed?

I have had concerns about them making it long term based on Brooks' apparent questions about his feelings. But the funny thing is, he is the only one that is really sitting back and questioning thing and making sure it's right.

Just read the ABC media release about next weeks episode via Reality Steve and Brooks being at home with his family and talking things through with his sister and his mom and then flying to Antigua, once again just shows me how serious he is taking this. I do wonder what it is that he tells Chris H. and Chris H. says you HAVE to tell Des about this. I'm wondering about an old girlfriend......heck it even crossed my mind could an old girlfriend be pregnant.......heck my mind is going crazy.

I do feel better about them as a long term couple though.
