Re: Brooks Forester - Bachelorette 9 Contestant - Spoilers - Thread #13
i've been wondering the same thing if she and brooks have figured out how much they were manipulated. while i know des was trying to be tough last night to confront james & ben i felt she wouldn't quite engage zak on his level. she wasn't quite her usual sweet, sensitive self but was holding back a little. i bet she just wants to move on and be with her F1 and be in the real world. she may be quite over all the bs of this show after what they did to her and is none too happy about it. jmo.relaxing wrote:Cecilia wrote:NeverEnoughTime wrote:At the end of the MTA when CH was talking about the weird twist, etc, Des had a look on her face as if she was annoyed by something that happens. It was definitely a grimace. She didn't seem to be reacting to what CH was saying for show, but that a memory of the events that occurred trigger the look on her face.
If things turn around and end well, I wouldn't have expected to see that look on her face. If Brooks is F1, I am starting to question if they are still together or if she learned new information about what really happened before she got a proposal from Brooks.
Anyone else notice that look on her face?
Annoyed with how the show manipulated her relationship with Brooks for drama maybe?
I hopefully imagine that post show they talked and Brooks says "they were telling me such and such that's why I freaked" and Des says "they were telling me this" and they both understand how such a situation happened and that it's not indicative of their true feelings or how they would handle things in the real world. I imagine now they know they were being manipulated. I'm sure she's pissed that the producers made them almost mess up a great thing.
I was so angry at how the show treated Ashley, I don't know how she could ever be civil with any of those involved. Beginning to feel the same way for Des.

Next week, tune in for one of the most emotional episodes ever – which is a really weird thing to write, because it is my life we are talking about here! It will be a defining moment for me in my journey to find love.
So IMO - defining moment, may be accepting that she might not get a proposal. Maybe that is why RS is wrong. Maybe they are just dating?
To me "defining moment" means she realizes she's going for the "wrong guy" again.

This is a guess; but I don't think he likes it and I don't think his family does either.

I was just thinking the same thing. We could never figure it out but we didn't know we'd see him at home again.
I did. I'm psychic.

He has been watching with family and friends. He follows Desiree, Chris and Drew. Seems like he's fine with it.

Where do you see that? When he watched with that girl, he was having fun and she was saying how funny he was.

Maybe "defining moment" in that she finds the strength to send him away (temporarily) when he tells her he's not sure if this is a lifetime love and not ready to take the next step forward. Remember she had said something like - I've never been loved back as much as I love someone"..

I don't know where I got this from but I read that Brooks' mom doesn't even watch the show.
I know if I was his sister I'd be livid about now with those previews and just how they're painting Brooks.
I know his sister-in-law said she wishes they were showing more of his witty/funny side because that's a big part of who Brooks is.
I know his sister-in-law also tweeted that she can't watch Desiree kiss any of the guys. "I just can't hang," she said. And she was downright shocked by that preview last night. (Did everyone miss the preview weeks ago? It seems that way. They're all so shocked about last night's).

I wish, but doubt it. It just tells me her default final 1 is going to see a lot she wish he didn't.

As for the "explosive finale", it will probably be the earthquake.

Brooks has to entertain his crowd. I watched the show with Jef Holm (still can't believe I did that—why couldn't it have been Brooks instead?) and Jef put on a show for the people there, getting mad when Emily kissed other guys. Maybe he felt it a little, but he definitely overdid it for our benefit. He was funny/cute.
