Yeah on the show James said he couldn't understand why she gave the GD rose to Brooks when he thought he should have got it himself. And how he and Brooks were such different people how could she like both? I thought at the time that that was a surprisingly acute insight for James.

That's kind of funny. Brooks sure did cause a lot of jealousy without even seeming to realize it. Jealousy, yet everyone (except for the tightly wound ones, like James) liked Brooks. They just seemed to talk behind his back.

Seems Brooks is not only the enigma but also the catalyst. Very interesting!

No, it wasn't. So, that's interesting. Brooks is really going to find that interesting, too, I think. Oh, to be a fly on THAT wall.

It was presented that way to me. I guess that he just didn't present it that way to the other guys.

I almost wonder if the edit is showing the guy's awareness of each individual's relationship with Des (especially Brooks) to help Des not seem so horrible when leading on Drew and Chris if she's been in love with Brooks the whole time. That somehow it would seem less horrible if we feel that the other two knew about their (Des and Brooks) connection. I just haven't really seen the edit in years past showing the guys comparing and discussing their relationships as much as I have this year.

I always wondered how the lead could possibly finish filming a season without leading the others on if he/she has fallen in love and knows who the F1 will be..It must be awfully stressful being required to date and make out with everybody when your heart isn't in it...I would hate that. Did anybody notice when Des was sitting beside Brooks on the blanket at Liberty Park sd they were talking about their relationship she looked like she wanted to cry for a minute ?? You can see a little nerve twitch under her eye as he's talking to her.. beatingheart

I love the way he looked at her when she tells him he was still being adorable although he was lying on the ground, in pain. That really touched him and perked up his ears.
