That's not the quote exactly.. "After tonight, I want him down on one knee, because I love him and I always knew I was deserving of it, but I have never felt so loved." said in her red dress on Chris' LCD.

To be accurate the first of that statement, "After tonight, I want him down on one knee, because I love him" was a VO, not necessarily something she said in the red dress PI.

To me, Brooks didn't seem conflicted in his feelings towards Des. Brooks stated he had given it alot of thought and knew that he wasn't in love with Des. He knew what it felt like to be in love and he didn't feel it with Des. He also said that he tried to fall in love with Des, and it just didn't happen. However, he was very conflicted on how he would tell Des that it's over. He didn't know that she was in love with him which made it even worse.

Well said. I couldn't agree more. He sure seemed to me to be in love with her. There was just too much noise in his head. He lit up when he was talking with his family about what a great girl Des is.

Des must have really come to understand him. She said he over analyzes.

Think about that—how would she know that or even care to come to that conclusion about him if she hasn't been having things to do with him since?

I would remind everyone the Brooks FD was 4/30 and FRC is suppose to be 5/6....so we are suppose to believe in 5 days she is completely over Brooks and picks Chris? And enough with Ali/Frank comparisons...everybody knows Ali wanted Roberto since night 1. Not even close to the same thing.

Brooks will be back, he will understand that what he did was what he has done most of his life... find the reasons to back away so he could protect himself. sometimes large families are great, good support, love, understanding... but sometimes they can be the loneliest place on the face of the earth. he learned at an early age to hide his heart to protect himself, and the walls finally began to crack tonight with Des' declarations of truth. Brooks will find that truth within himself I believe and go after what he really wants in this life... not only love, but Des' love.

I believe they stand a great chance of making it in real life after a moment like this. if you love someone, you love them all the times, not just on the mountain tops, but in the valleys also. if you love someone you forgive them for their humanity, even with their stumbling.
