Yes, she did say that, and it would not have been about Drew or Chris. Backlash against Brooks in spite of knowing how the contestants can be manipulated by their handlers, etc.

Of course we weren't going to see Brooks having his regrets 10 minutes after telling her those things...it would have to set in over the day/night or couple of days. But he was already missing their times together, this man who couldn't say he loved her.

I'd love to say that I think she could move on with one of them but I can't. The finale is going to be as excruciating as this show was. I can't think of any happy ending that can make it all better. Yikes.

Me either! No happy ending in 1 week. I did want to comment on something she said during Chris' date. She said that she liked how he taught her how to throw the dodge ball and payed attention to her while still competing. She mentioned the exact same thing in an interview or blog without naming who did that.

Totally agree - liked Brooks because she obviously loves him , but his PO's tonight were brutal and would be crushing to hear if you are Des.
How many times did Des say this season she picks the guys who can never say they love her or reciprocate her feelings ?
Brooks is in that category the whole show and if I were her and he came back and proposed I'd be questioning a lot things after tonight's private talks with Chris H. as well as his family.

Saying he wished she " was into one of the other Guys more " is not a guy in love .
Yes, he felt terrible and it was hard to watch them both suffer, but feeling bad you hurt someone is not
Love ...
I'm give him points for being so honest . This show is known to hide these moments to protect the leads and happy ever after endings ....

wow... what can we say. Brooks loves this girl, and he was going to protect himself and dump her before she had a chance to dump him... he was going to strike the first blow, leave her before he was the one being left... after all, he knew that Zak had told him that he was in love with her, was hoping for that hometown date, and Zak and Des had a great relationship. and look what happened to Zak, he was blindsided, he never saw it coming. so what does Brooks do? strike first, put those walls up and don't take a chance, give excuses why it will never work, "how can I propose if I don't know she is the one in the end for me".

Desiree did what every woman should do... speak your heart even if it hurts. it was a revelation to him when she said "I love you" it was always you, every moment when I was away from you it was you. each comment hit that wall and moved it. that is why at the end he just wanted to stay there with her, not leave. when Des told him that she never opened her heart to any of the others except for him, you could almost hear the walls begin to crack.

Brooks will be back, he will understand that what he did was what he has done most of his life... find the reasons to back away so he could protect himself. sometimes large families are great, good support, love, understanding... but sometimes they can be the loneliest place on the face of the earth. he learned at an early age to hide his heart to protect himself, and the walls finally began to crack tonight with Des' declarations of truth. Brooks will find that truth within himself I believe and go after what he really wants in this life... not only love, but Des' love.

I believe they stand a great chance of making it in real life after a moment like this. if you love someone, you love them all the times, not just on the mountain tops, but in the valleys also. if you love someone you forgive them for their humanity, even with their stumbling.

They said on twitter it was frogs. We have some here in AZ. It is really hard to believe they are frogs because the sound is so high. It is actually kinda creepy feeling. It makes you think some things gonna come out of the bushes some where.

Well said. I couldn't agree more. He sure seemed to me to be in love with her. There was just too much noise in his head. He lit up when he was talking with his family about what a great girl Des is.

Yeah, that was neat.

I'm with you in loving everything that went down tonight. I don't know how many will agree, but I love this kind of raw emotion and it's so romantic.

That's not the quote exactly.. "After tonight, I want him down on one knee, because I love him and I always knew I was deserving of it, but I have never felt so loved." said in her red dress on Chris' LCD.
