Des just tweeted that hearts may break but spirits stay high with the hashtag #happytears.  She definitely picked someone and I hope for her sake and whoever it was  she picked they did not get engaged after tonight's fiasco!!!!!

If she picked someone - they are engaged.

I said this in the Chris thread but there must be some dramatic movement of mountains next week for her to be engaged to either of the 3 of these guys, yes Brooks included.

If Brooks returns, it had better be not only at the FRC, if they want it to be even a little believable.

It would be a slap in the face to Drew or Chris to be chosen after this.

I can only imagine how difficult this episode was for all 4 of them to watch tonight.

I do wonder how many mind games they played with Brooks??

I knew this would happen. Either they are deliberately not showing us the goods or there aren't any to show.

I don't get why have a 2 part finale, if he doesn't.  

For the drama. They did not show the F3 RC and left it as a cliff hanger of will she continue when the love of her life left her ? We know the answer to that - yes she continues.

Also did you see Brooks seeming to change his mind as the episode description suggested ? I certainly did not. I did hear him say that he hoped she find love with the other 2 guys instead. Definitely not someone who 'regretted' what happened. I say good for him for doing what he did - that took balls though he needed a lot of squeezing from others. Yet he did it.

Whew .. That was unbelievably difficult to watch . My heart broke for both of them and a huge wave of extremely painful memories swept over me .. I almost had to leave the tv .. This was exactly what happened to me .. I had to let him go so he could figure out his life .. Not knowing if I would ever see him again .. And knowing that he was the love of my life .. I was devastated

I can say tho that I also had a very happy ending .. When he called a couple of weeks later and proposed!!!! .. He said the same thing basically .. That a gong went off and nailed him off the side of the head ..  And 6 weeks later we were married .. And still are

Well, that was much more dramatic than I thought it would be, and probably the most raw, real interaction I've seen on this show. I was wrong, I thought he already knew Des loved him and was scared to propose but I guess all along he really questioned her feelings for him. I guess that's what can happen when you're in a house full of guys raving about how great their dates are, and just witnessing a stunned and heartbroken Zak being shown the limo. Maybe not a show for the meek at heart!

My complaint is that Brooks didn't allow the date to happen, to take the day to honestly share his concerns and see what would happen. Who knows maybe he didn't really love her after all... I'm so confused! and to make it worse they didn't throw us any bones for next week!

Brooks was SCARED!  Nobody can feel that warm, fuzzy, out of the ball park lovin feeling when you have fear standing in front of you!  Ou better believe his handler was feeding into that fear.

Some of you are making him out to be this jerk that was out to get her.  I don't get it.  Once she told him how she felt, he was "surprised".  He had no clue she felt as strongly as she did for him.  Now that fear is gone, he can truly see how he feels.  "The clouds have lifted".

It's hard to see how she would end up with Brooks but its even harder to see how she would end up with Chris or Drew. Tonight's episode was filled with real emotion. I loved it. I don't think Des comes off as pathetic AT ALL! In fact, I respect her even more for being HONEST. Brooks was honest too. It really got to me how he said she was too good for him. And then when she told him she loved him, he was surprised. INSECURITY has gotten in his way. And if you don't think TPTB played upon those insecurities, then I've got a bridge to sell you.

AFTER THIS, HE BETTER GET DOWN ON ONE KNEE AND PROPOSE! Remember those forceful words? Now all we need is to see why such a bold statement from Des.

That's awesome. Proof that everything is A-okay. I believe that people come to love in different ways. It's not always perfect and pretty, and Brooks is most definitely NOT a jerk for how he felt at that moment and doing what he needed to do.

I asked my boyfriend what he would do if, 8 weeks into our relationship, someone told him he could either dump me or marry me. His response? "I would run."

ETA: For the record, if asked the same question today he would pick marry.

Well I must admit it was the most dramatic episode ever!...even if the drama did drag on too long.

No matter how they spin things next week, I don't see this ending well...unless she decides to remain single. If Brooks comes crawling back...well, the heart wants what the heart wants, but, I will not be buying what MF is selling. At best, she could say no to a proposal and say let's just wait and see and try dating IRL. I can usually suspend my scepticism a little tiny bit at the end of this show...or at least try...but, unless it is one of those two scenarios, I just can't.

I feel drained by this whole season. They have manufactured too much stupid, fake, boring drama and now this. None of it has been enjoyable for me and now I need to go back and watch SeanCat's FD's to lift my spirits.
