If the spoiler is correct and Brooks is indeed her F1, I think that the episode description really sounds like a bunch of producer manipulation and fancy editing. If Des really and truly fell for Brooks since date 1, they probably messed with her head (and with Brooks' head) to ensure a strong finish where it is not so obviously Brooks as F1.

- Maybe they purposefully delayed Brooks flight to Antigua
- Maybe Brooks is on island but producers tell Des otherwise and amp up Brooks insecurities about relationship
- Maybe producers keep telling Brooks that her relationships with Chris and Drew are stronger or that he is the only one not to say I love you yet, thereby putting ridiculous pressure on him

I agree with other posters that they weave in footage that was actually shot around HTD with Brooks/mom/sister and make viewers think that he opted to stay behind and not travel with everyone else. Oh no! Poor Cinderella!

The episode will end with Des' not sure of Brooks' intentions and whether she wants to go on. Manufactured drama and buckets full of tears that represent combination of exhaustion and uncertainty and producers' totally messing with her head.

If spoilers are wrong ... well ... I guess it's anyone's guess what truth and what's fiction and what's something in between ...

The spoilers we have from 3 credible sources (Love, San, Sophie) say Des and Brooks are engaged and in love. If the bombshell is that he isn't ready to propose, how do we get to the spoiled ending?

I totally couldn't agree with you more and I love Brooks. Poor Desiree. I really feel like there are producers in both their ears stewing this pot of crap that's about to happen, but maybe he just really is reluctant and in that case, probably does the right thing by telling her that. I don't think he wants to be that guy on the cover of magazines breaking up an engagement a few weeks after proclaiming ever lasing love on tv. To real, genuine and caring for that.

OOPS, I guess I had that wrong. So the horses/beach time is probably LCD, yet they are talking about a beach side dinner. I wouldn't say the dinner at Shirley Heights is beachside though so who knows.

I really feel for them both. Obviously they are both going to be in emotional turmoil when we know they can be so happy, smiley, fun and cute together. It seems like such a waste. I'm not turning on Brooks and get where he's probably coming from and still respect his efforts to be real and truthful with her, but from Des' perspective it really sucks that he can't keep any forward momentum and keeps sliding back into his introspective, analytical mode.
