I just can't figure out how they get from that moment to Brooks beside himself in tears and Des wanting to go home.

My gut, too. Brooks might say something to him or he says something to Brooks. I just really can't see how it could be anything else, unless he still feels he's lagging. Or yeah, that he doesn't trust their relationship because of the other guys there. But on that date it doesn't seem like he is lagging or that he's worried.

What could Nate possibly do that would put Brooks out of commission, though? Unless it's something that Des thinks because of it. I'm just not so sure now that it's because of any reticence on Brooks' part.

Oh gosh! Ali will find a way to spin it differently. Like oh, the stock paper Des used is not as good as the paper she used for C . Yada yada yada. Where's my paycheck for my blog. Etc.
