Amidst all this hullabaloo, I'm not going to forget how little time we still have with the Brookster. I'm going to enjoy every minute. And I hope that he's as happy as a bird that's found a juicy worm right now. He seems to be. That's really all that matters.

And I'm just really happy that there was someone, finally, on the show, whom I could totally love; whom I could totally drool over. I've never had that before. Not someone that I find totally attractive. Kind of a dream guy. There's really nothing I would change, including his flaws.

If Des did pick him she really knows how to pick 'em.

I've just been thinking how short-lived this show will be now and that soon we won't have Brooks on our TV anymore. :Frown:  I just hope that he becomes a great Twitter and Facebook poster and does great things with his life, because I'd love to follow him. Not in a Nate-in-the-doorway creeper sort of way.  

I'm pretty certain Brooks is who Des ends up with. If not, then she's losing out, and well, I kind of feel sorry for her, and I would guess that this is where our tastes totally depart. I'd say good luck, but she let an amazing guy go.

I think this season is set up perfectly for Brooks or bust. (It will be Brooks ;) )There is just no way there is another F1 who seriously would feel confident in their relationship after seeing the show and Bres, especially this past episode.   She either picks him or leaves alone. The previews practically scream at you she leaves alone which means to me the exact opposite happens. I do hope once it is all over that he tweets and facebooks more. Does any know if he tweeted alot before shutting down for Bachelorette?

Soooo. This is what I think happens. Someone or more than one person in Brooks' family finally drives the nail in the coffin. He's really unsure. Des wants to question him. She decides to continue with him, takes him to Antigua (of course she will, she loves him), gets rid of Zac, but is really worried about where he's at.

So is he.

Something happens early on in Antigua. He may get some of his FD. He may get other dates. Who knows. But I think he goes home, on his own accord, or because Des sent him home, or just a mutual agreement. Neither of them are happy about it. We don't really know why, or what's going on.

I believe he goes home; his real home. The show goes on. The producers thinks it's going on, but Des is a mess, and CH wants to know what she wants them to do, what she wants to do.

Somewhere along the line she lets go of Drew, or he leaves. This might be a little bit devastating to her, too. At some point she gives up all hope and just wants to go home.

Chris is left and she lets him go. Her heart just isn't into it. She's left with no one, just like Brooks worried about earlier on in the season (and they left in for a reason). Brooks also said it would be an awesome ride (and they left that in, too).

The think it's one of those types of seasons, but alas, it isn't. Des wants to see Brooks. She wants to go get him. Either he's there, in Antigua, or he comes back, or she goes and gets him at his home (which I think would be so romantic). [b style="font-weight: bold;"][b style="font-weight: bold;"]This is the reason for the extra time at the end[/b][/b]. They have a heart-to-heart. They figure out where each other other. They have both figured out that they're in love. And maybe there (wherever there is), and then, Brooks proposes to her. Maybe it's not a conventional proposal. Who knows?

The spoilers are correct, and they're engaged to this day. Hopefully happily so. It was a VERY romantic ending and we can go  

Best season ever.

At least I think that'd be a good way for it to turn out and would definitely fulfill all the SCs, as well as the spoiler. There.

What do you mean by extra time? Did filming last longer than expected?

I don't know. I thought I read that there were couple extra days somewhere around the end that aren't usually there.

Actually, I don't think that's what the show is coming out to be. It says in the US mag rag that she's 'torn between two men' in it's next issue. So, it's not setting that up at all.

I hope he does. He's got to recognize he now has fans who need to be fed some Brooks face and life.

If she doesn't leave alone then it's obvious who they are saying she leaves with. I keeping thinking of that convoluted preview last week that still has me traumatized.   If she didn't leave alone, then the one they showed she leaves with is Brooks. Why else would they end that preview with an open-ended moment of him sobbing against his hand and her in tears saying she just wanted to go home. It was very eloquent in its way. It kept coming back to Brooks pacing the yard, distraught, and Des crying and losing all heart. And then it ends with these two despite everything else that went on. If that's not a shout-out I don't know what is. They didn't hit people over the head with it, but they didn't outright mislead, either. Even if I was unspoiled I'd think what's up with that ending?

ITA. It's not about Brooks not loving Des, it's about the process and isolation towards the end . He backs away from the process. Maybe not wanting to be totally manipulated by the producers. Jmo of course. Also the unknown. Brooks doesn't know what's up with the other two but he knows who they are and feels that he can't compete? He doesn't really know how special his relationship is with Des is but he also doesn't know if she feels the same about the others either. I've never understood how a person in that situation can think that they're "the one", that their relationship is unique. I find that irritating when they say, "We have something none of the others have." Really? You should watch the show.   You should see how she kissed Brooks yesterday. James talking about how much he suffered having gotten a 1v1 and then having to watch all these other guys go on dates (as if he's the sole one who has had to wait and watch.) Brooks over in the corner asking the guy next to him if he's for real and smiling at him.

I remember JP saw something special in their relationship. He was pretty confident in how he was feeling. But he got jealous. I always think if you're ultra-confident in that situation you're just not going to last.

Brooks has been honest with himself about the whole process. He's never pushed anything. He's always taken full advantage of his time with her. Even kissing her all sweaty and delirious when he got back from the hospital looking totally ridiculous.  And he admits it was hard to see James kissing Des. And then seeing the other guys forming relationships made him pensive. He alway stepped back and gave them their time. He's never seen himself as "the one" despite their connection. The others have seen he's "the one", but he thought he was just going along at a nice pace . . . until he wasn't. Until he started to see that he was lagging behind in his "emotional process." And now he's all sorts of not certain about anything. Brooks is going to go through a crisis. He's never really worried about the other guys, but he's never felt like anything special, either.

I love his personality. We were told we'd fall in love with him just like his friends and associates have and we can see that now. He is so completely non-offensive and charming. "Darn that Brooks. He's good."  Brooks lets others give him credit, instead of giving credit to himself.

Maybe, that was filmed before Desiree got there for the HTD.

The lack of caps are what are killing me.  We doesn't even look like he has a FD.  Let alone knowing if he stays on the island or not.

 Could it be from before the RC at F4 after HTD? Remember how Des mentioned questions for one of the guys and since we assume it is Brooks, maybe he is stressed from that or worried or confused about it all.

I don't think so, because I don't think that's at the hotel.  The hotel shelves are glass, not wood like the room he's in.

I do think Desiree has questions, but I hardly think she's being mean to him.

 Oh I don't mean to imply Des is being mean, I was just wondering if maybe his emotional process was becoming a perfect storm of confusion btw family feed back, Des questions and his own questions. It could be what begins  the (most likely momentary) breakdown in the next episodes....

 This is true, I wonder if watching the show air now if Brooks is kind of shell shocked about how Des feels towards him vs others. To hear/see her say the other night that she's at the finish line with him while still in process with the others had to have blown his mind. You see multiple others guys proclaim, "our relationship is special" but not once have I heard Brooks grandstand like that (at least up to now) and from the looks of it, he doesn't seem to realize that he is her #1. He's always commenting "I can see they have formed a connection," etc. He's not counting anyone out and now it is doing a huge mindf**k to him. On the igloo date, he commented he was surprised he got the rose since he had viewed her and James earlier and figured James may get it instead. I woudn't say he has self-confidence issues, he is just very aware of his surroundings and the potential multiple options Des has.

In his abc bio Brooks sounds very realistic about finding love on this show. He says that he may not fall in love at the end but if it happens that he'd be happy. He's being objective. No harm in that. He came on the show happy it was Des. He was nervous when he met her. He was attracted to her and they clicked from the start. He enjoyed the wooing process and eventually started falling for her too. My guess is he realized he was falling in love while on top of the mountain. I bet after that date he thought long and hard about where he was in his emotional process and came to admit to himself he's at the finish line too! Why he's crying in that yet to be seen scene I don't know. I don't understand what any of the scenes mean but my suspicion is that they are setting us up for a very touching ending. It's Brooks or bust that's how I read it...and IMO it is Brooks who says 'I am as in love as I have ever been,'

Btw, what do you make of Brooks' buddy moving to Santa Monica? Maybe  Brooks will room with him since I don't think he'll live together with Des. JMO. Should be interesting. Good night all! Haha. Morning
