Usually I don't even pay attention to the background music, but the Phantom of the Opera music when they show the masked guy especially on the balcony just about slayed me everytime I heard it. :laughingoutlou

Now in the preview they show Ryan P. meeting Ashley second?

He was filmed meeting Ashley second. Mickey met her first. However, and this may be important. Ryan got the FIR, and they aired him coming out of the limo to meet her first which means the producers also intended for him to make both the first impression on us and for us to think that he made the first big impression on her as well.

At this point, JP definitely looks like the frontrunner. To those who have an idea of the F4 and know basically how the process works and especially editing, the cupcake comment was glaring. Does he stay the frontrunner? She said she had a fruntrunner that went back and forth. Did he end up the same? If not, why did they leave that glaring statement in the edit?

At this right now point I would put my dialing for edit dollars on JP, but that could change .....

There was a little bit too much emphasis on Ben to be F1 with the limo exit and Meet and Greet. We saw him a good many times as well. He has that very late 1-1 date. I think at this point - unless something changes - he is the sweet F2.

Where was Constantine? Did we ever see his 1-1 time with Ashley? We never saw it with Jason and Melissa either, but we know that Constantine gets a hometown.

Ames....Ames is quite accomplished; however, there was something a little grating about hearing someone tooting his own horn. Usually when we hear a list of someone's outstanding accomplishments, another person is giving it, or we read it in a bio - we do not hear the person himself stand there and start telling it himself.
Now, I know he was put up to it by the producer, but we are talking about the edit here.....and the edit is what forms our opinions. While I am impressed with Ames's intelligence and accomplishments, I also came away feeling like Ames was a braggart - that is the power of the edit for you. Ames was "tooting is own horn."

Does the F1 - accomplished as he may be - come across as a braggart?

What did we find out about Dino? Zero

Right now, as typical, we are pretty much playing up the drama - the misunderstood, pick-on, made-fun of masked guy, drunk Tim, and Bentley who is unfortunately going to live up to Fleiss's prediction.
(How in the world they got Bentley to say the incriminating things he said in front of the camera beats the heck out of me. On the ABC Board people wrote in that he was a nice guy. A nice guy who thought such things would never, never have voiced them.)

I was looking forward to your analysis from last night. Nice job and I agree mostly.

JP is the frontrunner and the cupcake comment really was glaring. Even Ali commented that she hopes Ash is his cupcake. It'll be so super cute if he's F1 , but I wonder if someone else (Ryan P? Dino? Ames?) will readily overshadow him. OTOH, I really think that Ashley's "frontrunner" comments are to push along the Bentley storyline- making it seem he was the early frontrunner before her real F1.

I think this is the edit..I agree 100%...I think they are trying to push the Bentley storyline trying to make it seem he was the frontrunner..well as we know the edit and JP is the real frontrunner..JMO

2) The editing is constantly evolving and I think Ashley's season is going to set new editing format as I believe that Brad's first season started a lot of the formats, and his last season may of ended the previous editing format that we had, therefore, IMO, there is a great chance that the editing this season will seem to be all over the board to us sleuthers

This may have already been brought up, but RS mentioned that JP was the last out of the limo and said - "“You’ve saved the best for last," but he obviously was not shown last and that comment was edited out. Interesting...

Somewhere I commented on what a tremendous job had been done over night in the sleuthing. :what:

What it makes me wonder is how many times this can be done before the Bachelorette breaks down and accepts the guy back for the F1?
Reid probably would still be dragging his feet about getting married , but he was the most likely better choice than Ed; I always thought Jeremy was a better choice than Jesse, and although Ali belongs with Roberto, it was also pretty obvious that there was something going on with Ali and Jake as well...

Now....I don't know what the deal is, but we see this connection made between Ryan and Ashley last night, and he almost stuttered around her. He was not as arrogant or cocky as I thought he was going to be seeing as he is going to "rub some of the guys the wrong way" according to CH. I liked Ryan.
Still, since CH said that, I bet Ryan doesn't become the Final One.
