I went bacl to the FORT and tried to find the filming thread for Brad's season, but I guess I was just overlooking it this early in the AM. What I was trying to decipher is whether they do the HTs back to back.

We know that Ashley had a HT with Ben in Sonoma, Ca on Wed. and a Ht with Constantine (Dino) on Fri (the 22 per tweet).
Have they skipped a day of filming, or did they film another HT on Thursday somewhere else?

If so, Constantine stands a good chance of being F4. He will have been the *3rd filmed HT, and we really haven't heard anything about him until just recently have we would lead me to to wonder about a heavy connection between the two.


* Speculated....but the 3rd aired Hometown since Matt's season's has been the F4 several times: Noelle, Naomi, Wes ( cut out the extra 2 in Jillian's season), Kirk, and Shawntel.

Regarding the order of the HTDs, I always assumed it had to do with geography, and they either go east to west or west to east. It would explain why Roberto and Emily, on the east coast, both had the first dates. Then they switch up the order that they will show them based on how much drama they can "edit" into them, saving the most controversial for last.

Maybe there's more to it, but I really don't know.

IA re: bolded; I thought the other part of the logic of filming the HTDs east to west or west to east was determined by where the FDs/LCDs would be taking place. Now my brain won't even register who's been where when, but it just seems logical.

Will try to make it out to the mansion tonight. Maybe DUH would like to take his new ride on a li'l spin with some minor twisty bits. A sleuther can hope! :db:

I may have Chantal and Shawntel flpped, I can't remember. But even so, they came back from Africa, went to the east coast, west coast for 2 dates, back to the east for Ashley's and the RC (wasn't that in NY?)

I would think they'd do the 2 west coast first then back to the east for the next 2 HTDs and RC.

You have the order right, but the reasoning wrong. Africa was AFTER the hometown dates. The last place they were before hometowns was Anguilla. No direct flights from Anguilla to Charlotte, so they stopped in Miami. RS had the order, dates, and cities on his site when it was all happening.

It certainly was not practical or economically feasible; however, again it is interesting to note that for two years in a row there was a filming pattern of the F1, followed by the F2, then the F4, and ending with the F3. How it airs may be different.

The question to me will be if there is a similar filming pattern this season? Or, are they starting something new?

Here is another possibility....During Brad's season, they filmed in one order and aired in another order: they filmed Emily, Chantal, Shawntal, and Ashley, but they aired Chantal, Ashley, Shawntel, and Emily.
If they do the repeating 2 year cycle and do the 2nd year of that cycle, then we could have F2 Ben, F3?, F4 Constantine, and F1 Ryan Micky.

Ryan Micky is Mr. Ohio and several other things, right? My Bachelor hunches tell me, "Too obvious, the deck is stacked, the producers are eyeing this one, and he most likely is on the '5 To Watch' list".
He is a natural for the favorite of the season. Emily was the favorite of the season, and Brad picked her, so I am hard pressed to imagine that the producers/editors would allow the lead to pick the huge fan faovorite two seasons in a row.
If she decides she wants Ryan for herself, they are going to rough him up a lot so that he isn't Mr. Pretty Perfect Boy waiting to be caught.

Also, I can hear it now...she will have a handler whispering in her ear, "How many other girls do you think he has told those very same things to? Look at him! He is so fine and successful. Why hasn't he settled down with somebody? You know that there have been beautiful, accomplished girls in his life...."

If Ryan is F1, boy oh boy, forget about the handlers and Ash, what are we going to say? Roberto was skinned alive for being too perfect so Mickey is in for a world of hurt if he's F1. However, like you said, it's obvious that the deck is stacked against him because he already has 'Bach 16' chiseled on his perfect face.

Ryan got the FIR, and they aired him coming out of the limo to meet her first which means the producers also intended for him to make both the first impression on us and for us to think that he made the first big impression on her as well.

At this point, JP definitely looks like the frontrunner. To those who have an idea of the F4 and know basically how the process works and especially editing, the cupcake comment was glaring. Does he stay the frontrunner? She said she had a fruntrunner that went back and forth. Did he end up the same? If not, why did they leave that glaring statement in the edit?

At this right now point I would put my dialing for edit dollars on JP, but that could change .....

There was a little bit too much emphasis on Ben to be F1 with the limo exit and Meet and Greet. We saw him a good many times as well. He has that very late 1-1 date. I think at this point - unless something changes - he is the sweet F2.

Where was Constantine? Did we ever see his 1-1 time with Ashley? We never saw it with Jason and Melissa either, but we know that Constantine gets a hometown.

Ames....Ames is quite accomplished; however, there was something a little grating about hearing someone tooting his own horn. Usually when we hear a list of someone's outstanding accomplishments, another person is giving it, or we read it in a bio - we do not hear the person himself stand there and start telling it himself.
Now, I know he was put up to it by the producer, but we are talking about the edit here.....and the edit is what forms our opinions. While I am impressed with Ames's intelligence and accomplishments, I also came away feeling like Ames was a braggart - that is the power of the edit for you. Ames was "tooting is own horn."

Does the F1 - accomplished as he may be - come across as a braggart?

Right now, as typical, we are pretty much playing up the drama - the misunderstood, pick-on, made-fun of masked guy, drunk Tim, and Bentley who is unfortunately going to live up to Fleiss's prediction.
(How in the world they got Bentley to say the incriminating things he said in front of the camera beats the heck out of me. On the ABC Board people wrote in that he was a nice guy. A nice guy who thought such things would never, never have voiced them.)

I was looking forward to your analysis from last night. Nice job and I agree mostly.

JP is the frontrunner and the cupcake comment really was glaring. Even Ali commented that she hopes Ash is his cupcake. It'll be so super cute if he's F1 , but I wonder if someone else (Ryan P? Dino? Ames?) will readily overshadow him. OTOH, I really think that Ashley's "frontrunner" comments are to push along the Bentley storyline- making it seem he was the early frontrunner before her real F1.
