I also want to add that there was much talk about Jake doing the Bachelorette with the promise/lure from the producers of being the next Bachelor, which based on what we now know about Jake's motivations, seems highly likely. Certainly, the producers expect the next lead to be one of the F2 or 3, so I have no doubt that they anticipated him being one of Jill's frontrunners, and that's why they assigned him the first 1 on 1. But Jill wanted no part of Jake, and I actually suspect would have gotten rid of him on that date, if not for producer intervention, since she pretty much ignored him afterwards. Ironically, because the F2 and F3 both turned it down, Jake ultimately got his wish, despite his poor showing.
I agree that in general, the F4 pretty much coincides with who gets the first few weeks of dates, and I believe the last few seasons, they have had one of the F4 get a date each successive week. Plus, there is usually also at least one also ran who the lead has no real interest in, who gets a "pity date" and then gets sent home on it.

Looks like we have 2 HTs, so we know 2 out of the F4, and it really lets us begin to speculate....

We have talked about patterns. What we don't know is when (or if) they will change a pattern ( because they eventually do and some quicker than others).

The one that has caught my eye and is most relevant right now is the scheduling of the Hometowns.
We know from Reality Steve that regardless of what was aired and shown to us in both Ali's and Brad's season the F1 - Roberto's and Emily's - Hometown date was filmed first.
Now, Ali has come right out and said she kept a journal which indicates that Roberto was the one. In looking back, the sleuthing evidence points to Anquilla (right before HTs) as to when Brad decided on Emily.

My speculation - and it has to be speculation is - are they going to use that same pattern this season in filming, or is this the season to change the pattern?
If they use the same pattern as the prior 2 seasons, then you have your F1 as the first filmed HT.

Next speculation....I have noticed that it is as if they like to try something one season, and then if it works, then they will repeat it the next season.
Or, simply they will even do something two or three times in a row as in the case of F3 came out of the 2nd episode.

Now even though we know that Emily's Hometown was filmed first (despite what Chris Harrison said) because Reality Steve reported it well, well in advance, it was shown last.
So, the question might be is the F1 the last aired HT like Emily was?

Consequently, unless something changes for some reason they tend to like to put the F4 person in the 3rd HT slot. Now this is since Matt's season because those are my statistics.
I think Ali's HT was aired 2nd which was strange as though they didn't have enough time to edit before the show aired.

One other thing of which I am extremely interested! Who got that 3rd eppy date which "went so well"?

Based on the last 2 seasons when the F1's Hometown was filmed first - for NO apparent good reason that I could discern - IF and that is a gigantic, humongulous IF the same pattern prevailed for this same season, then the guy whose Hometown was filmed first would be the F1'.
However, that is based on the assumption that the prevailing pattern of the last 2 seasons remains the same.


As to your question, if Ashley falls in love with a guy who owns a business, I think she will move. She has not started her practice yet; on the other hand, he is established. That is my guess.

I went back to read RS. He said the HTD started this week (now this past week). He went right to Ben F on Wednesday, as if he IS the first HTD? I can't wait to RS spills his spoiler as to who the F2's are. He's always been on the money with the F2..he has waivered with the F1. So if he says Ben F is one of the F2, and if the prevailing pattern stays the same, as Bloomers posted, this is gonna be a lot of fun to speculate and could we may have found Ashley's F1 already. :jump:

Bloomers, I agree that Ashely would eventually move. She would love to live in Sonoma, CA..it's beautiful, and she's already moved from her hometown of Maine, when she moved to Philly for school.

I think she would move too, though Ben lives in San Diego, right? Another gorgeous spot. Either place has large enough population to have a successful dental practice. I'm really excited about Ben possibilites but I do not want to have a favorite before season begins.

I believe that's the assumption, or at least we haven't heard anything about them returning home yet.

Regarding the order of the HTDs, I always assumed it had to do with geography, and they either go east to west or west to east. It would explain why Roberto and Emily, on the east coast, both had the first dates. Then they switch up the order that they will show them based on how much drama they can "edit" into them, saving the most controversial for last.

Maybe there's more to it, but I really don't know.

I think these Bachelors are in the F4 and their HTD's were filmed in the following order IMO :

Ben - We know per RS they filmed his HTD on Wednesday in California

Blake - My guess would be they filmed his on Thursday because his family lives in Kansas

Constantine - Was filmed in Georgia on his HTD on Friday

Ryan - Who currently lives in Ohio grew up in NYC. So I believe they filmed his on Saturday (last).

Then like they did in Ali and Brad's seasons will film the F4 RC in NYC as well. I think that will be filmed tomorrow Monday which is the day after Eatser.
