In the upcoming sneak peak, Ashley apologizes again for their last 1:1 and tells JP she owes him a really great next 1:1 date. :sweetheart: It won't be a suite in Vegas though.

I was afraid to mention it, but that Hong Kong balcony scene looks ssssoooooooo Las Vegas. Bet it is an overnight date.

Of course, Ashley has to get the "dot dot dot" business settled first with you-know-who... and please the producers with more drama so they can cut the balcony clip down to its expected 4-5 minutes.

I'm at the hairdresser right now and will post them when I get home. I only focused on the F4 and Ryan. Also have Ashleys VO's of the F4 & Ryan.

Another thing was Ashley said in one of her interviews things changed as the season went on. I can't remember the exact quote, but I took that to mean her frontrunner at one time was Bentley. Then her heart opened up and she saw what was right in front of her the entire time. A guy like JP who really cared about her and was genuine with his affections for her. Someone who was talking the talk and walking the walk.

I agree about the frontrunner changing, Love. I also think her original F4 changed. I do think Will and Bentley were in her original F4, but she had to do an about face after episode 3. Then it appears something happened with Ryan, who I also think was in her original F4. With Ames and Contsantine getting the 1:1's next episode and Ben F. getting the group date rose, her F4 changed mid-stream. I think she took Chris Harrison's words to heart when he said there were a lot of great guys who were giving up their lives to be there for her. JP is the only one that I believe she kept from beginning to end in her F4. At least, that's what I am seeing from the edit they are showing us and from what Ashley is saying in interviews. :A-okay:

In the full transcript of Jeff's interview, he states that there were actually only a few (3 or 4 maybe?) guys there who were interested in Ashley. If she was able to detect this, I've wondered if in the end they were the guys interested in her. From what we've seen, JP has seemed interested in her, not just by what he says, but by how he acts as well. We haven't seen enough of the other three men who make up her F4 to determine their interest level!

I think we need to be careful with this statement and not let it be misleading.
Was this from Jeff's perception or did he have a close enough connection with quite a few of the other men to make this judgement? JMO--but it seemed to me like Jeff did not have a very close connection with any of the other bachelors. It seemed like he spent quite a bit of time on the "outside" and was almost shunned by the guys. It's one thing to overhear someone say "I thought it would be Emily when I was in the limo" and quite another to hear someone say, "I wish it would have been Emily". Did he actually come out with anything concrete to back up this statement?(the bolded)

ITA, Love_Me & Beeleever ~ exactly what I think happened too. Constantine and Ames were not original F4, but became F3 & F4. JP was always in the F4, and maybe we'll see this week why Ben F is in the F4..it's been pretty well hidden at this point.

The one interview of Jeff's that I read said he was closest to Ames and Bentley. He said the other guys never really warmed up to him. So if he didn't know Bentley's true motives, who he said was his closest friend in the house, how is he going to know the true motives of any of the other guys, who he said never really warmed up to him?

Maybe it replaces what Ashley thought was the best date (with William) to the date that she has with JP? (Just trying to see how the Titanic reference is repeated and why...?)

I've been thinking about a Titanic theme ever since I saw the trolley screen cap. Maybe the Titanic represents the whole episode with Bentley, as the sinking of Ashley's hope for love on the show. Then perhaps she decides "my heart will go on" and finds love with someone else. Cheesey, I admit, but a possibility! They have to work with what they've got, right?

Hmmmmmmm, I didn't know that, considering I always thought that there were some 1 on 1 dates happening.

Just guessing what may happen in Hong Kong… but mustn't "over-guess"

Bottom line: JP may not be getting his next 1 on 1 date until then, yet apparently is making great use of his limited time with her. Not getting into the details... you see the avatars. This season is echoing Alex/Amanda (and Jillian/Ed and Ali/Roberto too) with a heavy emphasis on the physical.

The producers tried very hard to keep JP hidden at first, starting with the curious editing in episode #1 with both limo arrival and first sit-down. They may be doing the same with Ben too... not sure. Only his "story" hasn't officially begun yet. I have the feeling that TV Grapevine preview had the JP scene added belatedly… due to audience demand over the spoilers and what was shown Monday. If viewership increases simply by “showing it all”, rather than hiding it, so be it.

One oddity: both Ryan and Ben received their episode #1 meet & greets with her right after each other and both involved discussions of their careers. She asked Ryan to "come do my house" and cooed over the wine ("kicker"). JP's re-edited meet & greet (sandwiched between Tim getting drunk/Masked Jeff and Big Bad Bentley... to make it less conspicuous) was mostly about calling each other cupcake.

Once again, re-visiting the late Liz Taylor (yeah I miss her) in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Since some are now concerned that this season will not result in a happy ending, perhaps we should see if this season's edit matches up with Deanna's? Or even Brad's?
