Another thing was Ashley said in one of her interviews things changed as the season went on. I can't remember the exact quote, but I took that to mean her frontrunner at one time was Bentley. Then her heart opened up and she saw what was right in front of her the entire time. A guy like JP who really cared about her and was genuine with his affections for her. Someone who was talking the talk and walking the walk.

One of 2 things is going to happen. Things could change starting this week big time. OR tptb have decided to give their fans exactly what they have been clamoring for, a love story front and center from the getgo all the way to the end, with a MF shocking finale :D

This is what I don't understand, though. What kind of shocking final can it be if JB is the F1 from the front and center, getgo all the way to the end? Bentley won't be coming back. Ryan is not a threat, and it doesn't look like Ben will be either, so what kind of shock will there be?
This is so ho hum....

Bloomers, late to the conversation but-- I'm wondering if MF was starting to think the season was a bust and Ashley didn't make a strong enough connection but, OMG looks like we have a proposal after all? I honestly can't see a last minute switch.

I agree about the frontrunner changing, Love. I also think her original F4 changed. I do think Will and Bentley were in her original F4, but she had to do an about face after episode 3. Then it appears something happened with Ryan, who I also think was in her original F4. With Ames and Contsantine getting the 1:1's next episode and Ben F. getting the group date rose, her F4 changed mid-stream. I think she took Chris Harrison's words to heart when he said there were a lot of great guys who were giving up their lives to be there for her. JP is the only one that I believe she kept from beginning to end in her F4. At least, that's what I am seeing from the edit they are showing us and from what Ashley is saying in interviews. :A-okay:

In the full transcript of Jeff's interview, he states that there were actually only a few (3 or 4 maybe?) guys there who were interested in Ashley. If she was able to detect this, I've wondered if in the end they were the guys interested in her. From what we've seen, JP has seemed interested in her, not just by what he says, but by how he acts as well. We haven't seen enough of the other three men who make up her F4 to determine their interest level!

The way Ashley kept slapping and encouraging Constantine in the deleted first episode segment was a bit too odd for me to accept him as a top choice of hers... although he might have been considered a final 2 "dumpee".

If Ashley’s connection with Ben happens to be greater than with Constantine, then, yes, Constantine was a “pegged final 2” and Ben is either the darkhorse final one (which I kinda doubt) or a “pegged final 3” who becomes F2 by default (i.e. Constantine asking to leave)… just as Ali’s Chris (initially #3) did when Frank (initially #2) left.

Remember that the Bachelorette is different than the Bachelor in that SHE prefers to take the man she has the weaker connection with to meet her parents and the final rose ceremony. It cuts down on her stress level.

It was obvious that the Trista/Charlie (despite being great friends), Meredith/Matt, Jen/ her JP, Deanna/Jason, Jillian/Kiptyn and Ali/Frank chemistry was weaker in these seasons than Trista/Russ, Meredith/Chad, Jen/Thailand Ryan (who’s Fantasy Date was the only one with any “heat”), Deanna/Jeremy, Jillian/Reid and Ali/Chris. Her Final 3 dumpee is the one with the second-strongest “connection” after final one... or so it appears to me. (Obviously I'm not a mind reader.)

Although William, Bentley and JP were her initial Final One contenders, you can’t help but ask the obvious question:

What would have happened had Mickey, who was probably her “pegged Final 4 dumpee”, lost the coin toss?
Remember that date involved a Las Vegas SUITE. Heck, I could just see production canceling Colbie Caillat. Also, would we have gone through all that William Roast Fiasco and Bentley Drama the next week, after she already had her “taste test”?
