I'm always interested in your POV on the edit and what we should be looking for.
What would be your sleuthing related suggestions for us all to look for while watching Episode 3 (minutes the Jeff and Bently drama lol) ?

I am going to be looking to see how good an actress is Ashley? We know that her 1-1 with JP is the day after Bentley leaves, and we know how devestated she is from his departure.
My own take is that she may have thought Bentley was in her F4 - and maybe F1 - but the producers who knew what Bentley was up to never did. We do not see Bentley placed in the group pictures or the RC pictures in a spot indicative of an F4 placement. They knew he was going to leave...

Now, I am interested in seeing how well Ashley is able to pull it off in her date with JP. One thing to keep in mind is that we will be seeing edited copy. That means that they could also have shot and re-shot scenes over and over again until the scenes looked natural and really good. Therefore, her make-up could be re-touched, etc.


I expect we are going to see a pretty good date regardless of how it really went, so I think I would caution everyone before they fall head over heels in love with Ashley and JP and jump on the Ashley/JP train and start riding, etc........................

That said, pushing all the smoke aside, at this point the editing looks clearly like JP. As Blondie reminded me, Ben is seen joining in on some of the snarky remarks about guys, whereas JP is seen about Ashley.
Now, I would add that is what we saw last season with Chantal and Emily. Chantal got into the house stull while Emily was there, but she stayed out of it, and she was just available when Brad came by for the private picnic.

Also, I noticed Ben "looking" in on Ashley with someone else - William? That is usually not such a good sign...

They need to show us a pretty strong (at least edited) date between JP and Ashley - if he is F1 - if we are to believe that they are a viable couple; otherwise, I will be having my doubts about a strong, real world relationship.

Now, if Ben F is the F1, they simply have to start building the storyline with him. I have never seen an F1 (really even an F2) that we knew so little about going into the 3rd episode.

Do you think the "obstacle" that needs to be overcome will start emerging in episode 3 itself ? It is probably too early for that right ?

What would be awesome to me is if they would just come right out with the Bentley thing = JP understanding at least to a certain degree that Bentley leaving has thrown Ashley for a loop - no, it has thrown her all the way to next Sunday. Does JP step up and see if he can help her overcome that? Does JP begin seriously trying to win her heart?

One of the things that was so winsome about Trista's Ryan was that as built and nice-looking as he was, he wasn't slick at all. He was so humble, and he wanted her badly. He tried so hard, and he just went about wooing her (what an old-fashioned word!) in every way he could think of doing. He wrote her corny, but heart-felt poetry, he bought her that stuffed toy, and he drew her that picture, plus he almost stuttered when he tried to tell her how he felt.

Will JP go after what he wants? That would make a good storyline.

I also want to know how they're going to handle telling JP about all the Bentley drama. Harrison suggests that she's broken for her next 1:1 date (JP's) so he must know, at least to some extent, how emotionally damaged Ash is over the whole thing. Which is probably a good thing for their RL relationship- he was there when Bentley left so all the drama he sees this week won't be that much of a surprise to him. And yeah, if he genuinely steps up to the plate and begins to restore her confidence, I'm sure it's going to play a huge role in cementing whatever flirty bond they already had before their 1:1 and before Bentley left.

HAHA. You're too cute! I think their date should go pretty well but not too well that it's obvious. A fine line between "this is the F1 for sure!" and "this may be the F1." TPTB are a complicated animal. :awesome:

I've been riding the Ashley/JP train and stuffing myself with cupcakes from night one. Totally a goner from the moment JP stepped out of the limo and smiled at Ash with that twinkle in his eyes. :awesome:

In all the years I have been watching the Bach/Bachelorette series , I have never been as dismayed and disgusted with a contestant as I am with Bentley. The statements he made about Ashley were horrible and so mean that it showed us what a loser of a man he is.If I were a member of his family I would be so embarrassed .Ladies don't date Bentley... stay away from a man who disrespects and emotionally abuses women . I am curious after the season is over how Bentley will explain /justify his words and deeds on the show.

I like JP, he may not be as good looking as some of the guys like Will, but I can tell he has a good heart, charming ,great sense of humor, confident, mature and someone Ashley can have intelligent conversations with.He exudes positive aura and seems to be into Ashley.JP is a keeper and Ashley knows it.
