First of all, after watching their 1/1 there is no doubt in my mind that JP is F1 and with only a few episodes left, I just don't see that changing. Also, I believe that Ryan was supposed to get that 1/1 but she changed it up after seeing Bentley and just feeling free after he left she wanted to be able to talk to JP about it privately. I think her doing that is what caused her to give Ryan a group rose as she felt guilty.

I loved how JP stood up for her tonight and how he handled it when they questioned him about not telling them what she'd told him about Bentley. .

It's a good theory. Here's my only point of skepticism about it:

The conflict around Ryan seems to be a multiple episode plot point. I thought Ryan getting the group date rose was a producer decision to go along with that plot point and set up the guys being pissed off at Ashley's allegedly broken picker. To support my theory, I thought it was awfully strange that the rose was sitting there in the middle of the guys griping about Ryan, just so Ashley could nonchalantly walk in there, take the rose, and made it obvious where it was going (to Ryan). It all seemed very set up to me.

Ben F and Dino were HILARIOUS on the boat. Definitely my entertainment high point of the episode. They're both so adorable, I originally spelled it adorbable :giggle:

I wouldn't mind Ryan or Mickey as the next Bachelor. Prefer Ryan because I think he might have more of a sense of humor in there than we're being shown. If Ben F isn't F1 he'll be a very popular choice but I see him going to same route as CL and Reid - wisely taking his good edit and and running away from the franchise to live it up in the real world. If JP isn't F1 then he'd be the runaway favorite. I wouldn't be surprised if he agreed to do it because I think he'd really throw himself into the process and for some reason I feel like they'd treat him relatively well. But I never want my favorites to get involved with the franchise because you just can't trust Fleiss so in that sense, if being The Bachelor is an option, JP shouldn't do it.

I'm interested to hear what Mickey says in his exit interview if he does one.

I always thought Ashley was over Bent and his return was about closing a trumped up TV storyline much more than resolving any real questions for Ashley. I haven't changed my mind based on what was shown last night. I noticed on Jimmy Kimmel Live that Ashley pointed out that last night was the 1st time the producers showed her skepticism, implying that she had expressed it before but it hadn't been shown. I find that very believable. Is it spin on her part to seem less dumb? It could be but there's something about the way she expresses herself that makes me think she isn't overcompensating or forcing it. I would believe her over producer spin every day of the week.

I'm a skeptic about most of what they show us but I kind of thought JP did look a little hurt when Ashley told him about Bent's return. I thought he was holding back on questions because he didn't want to feed into drama on camera. I could be wrong. I think most of these guys are savvy enough to know how much the show plays up the drama. Their conversations were of course very edited and what we were shown during their date (the non VO/PI stuff) was focused entirely on how JP feels. I thought there were a couple of things Ashley could have said to soften her Bent "confession" to JP but she did say a couple of things that seemed designed to signal to JP that he's special to her. If he's F1 then I'm sure they've had their talks about what was really up with the Bent thing.

Their mutually gushy VOs/PIs were more balanced in terms of focusing on how JP and Ashley each feel. Obviously tons of chemistry there, hot date. F1 frontrunner now? Of course. But as others have already stated expect lots and lots of doubt to be cast on that in the coming weeks whether for suspense buliding purposes or because Ben F is actually F1.

This was my feeling as well. I think Ashley cornered Bentley into saying that she should move on. I don't think she was giving him any leeway to side step the issue. I don't think she was really looking to get back with him. She just wanted him to admit that he was done with her.

If anyone has a doubt that JP is F1 LOL they may not be watching the same show. I am a Ben fan but it sure looks like JP is her man.

I'm a JP/Ash fan and even I have doubts about JP being F1 since seeing last night's episode. LOL I think Lucas is going to be the shocker or at least involved in some drama at the end. JMO.

I've seen JP wear two different watches so far, one has a square face which color, the other has a round face and is black or dark grey in color.

Ben tweeting to other Bach girls is the biggest red flag to me that he is not F1.

He wasn't actually tweeting to them, Nutty1, at least directly. Marisa was tweeting to the other girls and Nick chimed in. Ben's reply was to Nick's tweet but the others were in it (like a reply all).

You're right, there is a bit of doubt with JP in the preview although it's so confusing that it's hard to tell what the average viewer would think. If they think she doesn't pick anyone because of it or (more likely) Bentley, then it does throw doubt on JP or anyone being the f1. If you think back to Roberto's edit, he was much less out there than JP and way less of a sure thing at this point in the show. Now maybe because of Bentley, they want it to be obvious but it's just not like Fleiss to give the viewers a love story that's easy to see so I just don't know.

Oh wow...I didn't know this. So, when they had the champagne and all that, they weren't at Victoria Peak? There's a lot of the date that they didn't show! When they were on the tram, you can see JP's watch and it looks like it was 10:20...wonder when the date started and ended?

I think they purposely left out a lot... whether "anything" happened or not. "It ain't our business."

Bottom line: you know NO OTHER one on this show, including Ryan and Ben, will be engaged to her after watching what we did see.

ITA I have such a love/hate relationship with this show that I don't want someone I like to be hurt by all the machinations. 8)

"Love" I didn't get to see JP's date yet, but I loved the outtakes of Ben F and Ashley talking to their dogs. We really need to see a whole slew of outtakes where each of them just cracks up.

Can't view video's (You Tube etc) at work, so will just have to wait until tonight to re-watch last night's eppy.

Ben isn't 100 yrs old and new to social media, it's his job. He knew what and who he was tweeting to. Maybe he's F1 and Ash just doesn't care, I don't know, but personally, I can't see it.

From what I remember Elan Gale is a friend of Reid Rosenthal's and is a long time producer on the series. Often wondered whether Reid got his gig on B'chette because of his friendship with Elan. :awesome:

As far as the watches go. I think the square watch JP wears, is Large, larger than the on in the SC.
