Huh? I haven't seen anything negative from Brooks. I also agree that Brooks is almost like a male version of Des! They have a lot in common. A twitter friend told me that Des is really good with kids.That will work well with Uncle Brooks when they spend time with his nieces and nephews. :P

That's what James noted as well. Desiree wants a family man and who is a Christian. Among the other stuff.

I'm sure all final 4 guys bring some aspect of that.

I think they are truly SOUL MATES! They just fit so well together and make a beautiful couple.

I haven't seen the chemistry with the other guys the way I do with Bres. And their relationship seems to have an overall package: common ground, fun personalities, attraction to one another, passion, easy flowing conversations and a genuine interest in who each one is and what they want.

It is interesting to me how now both Brandon and James have leaned toward Des picking Brooks at the end when asked in their interviews and that he would be the best fit for her. I think it is pretty telling and indicates further that at least some, probably alot of the guys saw the obvious connection between Bres throughout the season as it was being filmed.

Yes ... but it also makes me wonder. When I was unspoiled, I thought Brooks was being groomed to be The Bachelor. IMO Brooks was given a whole lot of screen time in all the previews, got the first date (and that was a long one!!) plus was one of the guys interviewed preseason by ??? (Was it E or Hollywood Life?). Now what a coincidence that the two guys who get interviews (and are still under the very watchful eye of TPTB), are calling Brooks as F1. Maybe they saw something, maybe they read the spoilers or maybe the ABC PR person told them to say Brooks. Who knows, right?

I know and trust the great Love_Me and San bowdown

are calling Brooks the F1. And, I'd be tickled if he was the F1.

I am just not ready to go "all in" that Brooks will be final guy standing. Yes, I see their chemistry and that he makes her laugh and is gorgeous, athletic, outdoorsy. All good! But, maybe it's all a little too good.

lol yeah it is possible they just read spoilers but for me it is just the way they are saying it, calling him the best fit for her. I would think if the TPTB were behind this and wanted guys to throw Brooks name out there as a red herring they'd have them do it without making such strong statements such as "You could see the way Des looked at him and know...."(Brandon) and "Brooks would fit best with her" (James) because then if the F1 is a differnt guy, they are in a sense devaluing the final couple by insinuating the final pick (not being Brooks) is not the best choice I don't think they'd want to promote the fairytale end as such. At the risk of me possibly reading too much into things I remember Chris Harrison first blog regarding Bres date and he brought up the "1st date" curse and teased about whether Brooks would be able to overcome it unlike the unlucky suitors in that position in past seasons. I don't recall them ever bringing that in as a plot point or storyline before which makes me think maybe it is because this time the 1st date survived the process and came away with the girl. In a weird way, it is kind of giving Brooks a duel role of frontrunner yet underdog lol. I agree though that nothing is 100% certainty so as I've love to say, I shall remain cautiously optimistic.

Monica .. yup, me too ... staying cautiously optimistic. Whether Brooks is F1 or F2/F3/next Bachelor, I'll be happy. I had written him off pre season but he won me over with his awesome-ness during Mr. America pagent. Too cute!

And, whomever suggested that Brooks is getting a negative edit ... gosh, I beg to differ. The way Brooks is being portrayed each week won me over and my teen daughter. She is still unspoiled and only after Mr. America did Brooks become her F1 pick. She and I both found Brooks to be just so funny & kicked back & doesn't take himself too seriously.

I believe wholeheartedly that Brooks is the F1. If Love_Me and San say he is, then he is. People didn't want to believe that Jef was the F1 Emily's season, and even after all that debate and doubt, lo and behold, he was. They say there's no doubt he's the F1; I'm buying it.

How he gets there is the question. Whether or not it's arrived at smoothly is the question. I have no doubt, however, that that's how it'll end up.

I had a harder time seeing Jef as the F1 than Brooks. I had a hard time seeing any real emotion between Emily and Jef. It's plainly obvious that Desiree likes Brooks and that he likes her. Even at times when they don't show much, they show enough. I mean, you didn't see much interaction with them the last episode, but then you get her voice over explaining how he's getting through the competition with his personality, like only Brooks can. But more than anything they're doing, you just have to look at her facial expressions and eyes when she looks at him and you only have to look at his. Even the other contestants could see it. San and Love have told us that they were told that it was plainly obvious all along.

Now, I don't know if there's any problems on the way to heaven, but that'll be part of the fun to see. For me, I'm not at all worried about or trying to prove anything. I just want to see more of Brooks and see how they interact. I want to see what kinds of hardships and challenges will come their way.

I also don't see a negative edit. I just think they've had all the guys do some pretty silly things so far, and Brooks has made the most of it in his very Brooks way. Hugesmile

I totally agree with the whole post, as for the bolded part, with this show, it never (at least in editing) appears to be a smooth journey and it shouldn't be, especially in that situation. I'm sure there will be a few bumps coming up but as Brooks said in the 1st date, buckle up for the awesome ride!
