Hi Atem! Thanks for being such a helpful buddy during my unspoiled days. Glad to learn that we are actually on same team. You must have cracked up when I pegged Brooks as leaving before HTD's. Oh well ... I had my heart set on Zack (to no avail) and now I am glad that Brooks charm, wit & personality (and Chris!) won me over these past four episodes. It's a win-win season for me. Can't wait to get to know Drew now.

I still wonder why there was not enough interest from Des for Zack for her to keep home over somebody like Mikey.?? I found Zack to be very good looking, altho I still think his neck could be a little longer, ( but we could all find something wrong with all of them ) LOL I was all set not to like him from watching a vid of him on YouTube, but strangely the little I got to see of him I liked him and would have liked to seen him stick around over quite a few of the others so I could have gotten more a of a sense of who he is. KWIM?. : (

Does anybody know anything about the reason she let him go so early ahead of the others, other than the obvious? She really seemed so apologetic to him when letting him go. Much more so than we've seen a lot if the others be. IMHO

Ha! You are asking same questions about Zack that I asked on non spoiler threads. Seems this season's guys can be clearly divided into guys Des' likes and guys that TPTB likes to fill Bachelor Pad next summer (Fleiss is quoted as saying he plans to air summer 2014 when he has more "superstars") ... or to slide into Bachelor spot.

Clearly Chris and Brooks are two guys she likes best while guys like Mikey & Zak (sorry, but not my favorite ... seems to be trying too hard and TPTB are pushing him too hard on us) seem to be heading straight for BachPad next summer.

Des seemed to have chemistry with Zack but they showed us nothing (!) I think it was our edit expert, JBF, who suggested that TPTB did not want to show us Zack & her connections so fans would not be miffed at Des for letting him go & keeping the meathead Mikey or Kasey who seems firmly in her friend zone but is a fun loving character (and great for BachPad).

Back to our boy Brooks ... I had written Brooks off as a Bachelor candidate because 1) so much footage of him in previews and 2) dreaded first date. I thought he'd go to 4 or possibly 5 (a la Jake P). But then I got to "know" him and my thoughts changed. The guy that I initially thought was "nerdy" in the ABC bio pic is actually really cool & sexy & outdoorsy adventurer! When TPTB "hid" his time with Des last episode but then Des gave a shout out to their steamy make-out made me realize that he's going far ... and most likely F1

I think when Chris realizes towards the end that Brooks is still there, deep in his heart he might know the odds aren't in his favor no matter what he feels for Des. On another note what I like about Brooks is he doesn't strive to always be front and center when he's in the group. He's always towards the back of the room whereas he could have shown some of the guys up trying to be around Des which we know she enjoys.

I wondered if anybody else noticed this. LOL.. If they haven't they need to watch again and then to be sure to notice it in future episodes. Just about any time they show the whole group of guys I've noticed him standing in the background. That's not counting the RC's because he's told where to stand then. He sure doesn't come off as one of those "Watch me" "Watch me" "Look at me" "Look at me" type of guys that are always front and center...

I even noticed that Brooks has missed a few toasts because he's not crowding Des. He could easily flaunt as Ben does but he seems respectful.

Yes! I noticed this too. I started to become a Brooks fan based more on his actions with the guys in house than his actions on that first date with Des. Crazy, right?! But, it's been a treat getting to know Brooks this way and I esp took note when Chris had that kidding VO about Brooks when he returned to evening portion of group date in ep3. Rewatching BrooksDes date four episodes later, I now see their undeniable connection!

I noticed too and it's another of the qualities I love about him. I think it's obvious he's interested in Des and wants time with her, but he knows trying to crowd out other guys in a group setting is not the way to do it. I feel like he is biding his time for the real quality moments with her one on one. They seem to really make the most of that time together when they get it - even can tell that from last episode's pic of them in the hot tub and coming back at the cocktail party - even though we didn't see it.

Unrelated I also loved how she is staring and seems to be talking right to him on the clip for next ep on the gondola. I feel like their attraction is probably really obvious. I wonder how much so to the guys.

Well we know Brandon noticed it so I think the other guys have too but I hope it's because Brooks does not kiss and tell nor kiss and compete the guys feel its somewhat of an even playing field. For now.

This was mentioned on Chris' thread, but I wanted to know opinions on how Nate is going to react to Brooks. Thoughts?

Hard to say because if he pegged Sean as a "player" what was it?  Des keeps saying that comment was "Sean specific" . Was it because Sean is buff and seems to spend a lot of time on his bod? If so he might like the leaner men. All F4's are not conceited types in fact they are so very amiable so would that soften Nate? He's a wild card for sure and just not sure why he'll meet the F4 anyway.

Didn't Sean's sister come at F6? I think they add a sibling earlier as they know them best and can see through things and give a different perspective. Could this be when brooks says something wrong to Nate and can't take it back so then we have the crying pic?

Good point about Sean's sis. Regarding the VO, I hear James saying there's nothing I can do to take it back. Maybe lamenting he opened his big mouth to the guys and now after he has feelings for Des can't take it back. CH says he doesn't go easily so maybe at the very end when James is let go he cries and regrets. As if right!

They have to show them together next week right? We know they have one on one time...I really hope they show it!

This show?  Are you kidding?  I bet the show will be focusing on Drew and Des on that date.  Plus, they don't have a cocktail party.  So, that's that.

He is F1, they still have to show him, so being that they didn't show any 1-1 time with them this week, I'd think we see it next week even if only briefly.

And just because there is drama that has to be shown does not mean that they can't show a little of other stuff.

San, do you know when the drama will be over? Is it when she's down to her F- 6 guys or later than that? I don't really care for the drama and seems like we've got a boatload of it yet to come. : ( Thanks.!!!

I might be wrong in this, and I am not San, but I am pretty sure the drama dies down once James leaves (thank god & no offense) which is in Spain, Portugal. If the Brooks and James "battle" happens this week, expect more some random "battle" between Kasey and James in 2 weeks time.

Thanks so much, Nymeria and it doesn't matter that you're not San. : ) So that should be the episode after the one that's coming up, right? I sure hope so! : ) I can't recall who goes home this next episode coming up..Guess I need to go look again. LOL

I forgot who goes home next week as well, but James will make it through this week :(    (I am not a big fan of him).

He will leave when they are in Spain, where Kasey and James supposedly battle it out. I never understood why Kasey, but that storyline will probably begin this week.

This upcoming episode Bryden sends himself home. Ben is eliminated on the 2 on 1 and Mickey gets sent home at the RC. The next episode Jaun, Kasey and James are sent home at the RC or at least that's what RS says.. I admit I had to peek. LOL.

I think Nate saw straight through Sean and knew Sean wasn't interested enough in Des to propose to her and that's why he said what he did. As far as him saying Sean was a player, I'm amazed he's the first to admit thinking this way about the leads on this show. We have to remember at the HTD's the leads are still dating 4 people, down from 25. It's not hard to imagine a family member thinking they are just a player just from wanting to be on this show. Esp with the history of failed relationships that have happened to those that have been on this show.. Make sense?.
