This is what someone blogged about Brooks.....

Why he'll win: Because Des talks about him like she already knows him well. Brooks didn't get a one-on-one date, nor did he get the group date rose, but none of that matters. Brooks is the Kobe Bryant of this show: He has no rivals. After his turn in the swimsuit portion of the competition (note: he was not wearing a Speedo), Des commends him for "handling it the way Brooks would with his personality. It was so funny." Yup. It was just Brooks being Brooks. She loves this guy.

<3 Even the unspoiled (atleast I am guessing they are unspoiled) are sure he is going to be the one.

LOL Kobe Bryant. That is cruel. I would not want my guy to be held up to Kobe. No thanks.

Brooks might not be for everyone but he certainly is for Des. #GoBrooks

Cynicism aside...I think the author was simply referring to the fact that Kobe is an excellent basketball player...

Hi Brooks fans! I just learned today that Brooks is F1 so wanted to say howdy.

I did not have Brooks on my short list coming into season ... sorry, but I did not find his ABC bio picture very attractive... and I pegged him as going home before HTD's. However, I have to say that each episode Brooks has grown on me more and more. So I went to Sophienette's site to see all his cool adventure/outdoorsy shots and got hooked. I watched the FitMarketing videos and then went to YouTube to re-watch their date and that's where I saw spoiler.

While I had thought that Chris would be her F1, I am very pleased to learn that if it's not Chris, it will be Brooks. I think that both guys are similar in terms of being easy going, genuine and funny (not to mention tall dark and handsome!). Woo hoo!

Upon a second viewing of Brooks one on one date (have to admit that I did not pay close attention first go-round), I can see how genuinely happy and comfortable they are together. They have great chemistry/eye contact and had so much fun dancing together. They both opened up to each other and it did not seem forced whatsoever. Now that I have seen her interact with other guys, it's pretty obvious just how much she liked him early on.

So ... I am late to your party (and guess that I am still on Team ChrisBrooks as I can't let go of my first love giggling

). But, here's to a great season ... and a Bachelor/Bachelorette first: the contestant who gets first date goes to F1. Cool beans!

Hi Atem! Thanks for being such a helpful buddy during my unspoiled days. Glad to learn that we are actually on same team. You must have cracked up when I pegged Brooks as leaving before HTD's. Oh well ... I had my heart set on Zack (to no avail) and now I am glad that Brooks charm, wit & personality (and Chris!) won me over these past four episodes. It's a win-win season for me. Can't wait to get to know Drew now.

Welcome to our party. I think Brooks has so many facet to his personality. I too am anxious to see how things unfold and to see them on another one on one date. I too like Drew and Chris and agree the are similar.

It's really about chemistry, most of us here probably chose our SO based on chemistry and how s/he made us feel. If we posted photos of our SOs there might be a lot of tongue biting to avoid hurt feelings. I think my boyfriend is gorgeous but he'd scare some people here. :) He's also a big sensitive sweetheart who goes out of his way to make me feel special (unlike my last boyfriend, what a mess).

I think most of us outgrow the mentality that cuter is better in high school, but this show can make adult women revert to that idea when judging the men. I see comments on Facebook that say things like "Why did she choose him, X is so much hotter! She's so dumb!" and I think really? That's the main thing that matters to you? Good luck with that! haha

It makes sense to me why Brooks and Chris are the final two men and I'd be happy if she chose either one. Who knows how long it will last but she's choosing for herself, not me.
