Hey everyone! Just wanted to comment on my involvement with the show. I am not paid to tweet nor has production ever asked me to do anything except the vlogs. I have never been chided or asked to reign it in terms of my commentary. I am ONLY participating this season bc I am emotionally invested. That is one of my dearest friends on tv every week and I feel the need to take up for her or support her as much as I can bc in my opinion people (including those I can't talk about) are particularily rough on her this season.

I'm not sure where my maturity has come into question, but if taking up your friend and choosing to look at this season in a positive way makes me immature - then fine, call me immature.

Ps. I do not know who Ashley chose, but I definitely have an opinion on who she should pick. Y'all have a favorite and I can too

Ashley, you're the best and I love your honesty, your support of your friend and your compassion. Don't let a few jealous turkey's get you down. On any site, there are always the doom day naysayers who love to just argue and call people names. This board is one of the few that has very little of that going on. The majority on here are kind and love to seluth out clues, etc.

Keep on tweeting and commenting. It's a free country, and you are very mature and alot of fun and not a boring sourpuss. Never change.

Honestly, I'm surprised about the tweeting as well. As soon as we were found out, they shut us down. However, I think it is in very poor taste for my season's girls or Ash's guys to tweet to each other about meeting up. I think they could wait 5 more weeks or use DM on twitter to at least be a little more discreet. That's uber-disrespectful to Ash and the show.

Ashley, ITA and posted it last night in Ben F's thread. It's very odd that he's inviting girls from Brad's season to come see him in CA, until the show is finished airing. Poor Ashley H., looks like she is locked down from tweeting, so it is uber-disrespectful, indeed (as Ames would say) :giggle:

Ashley S...please tell cupcake that we support and love her here on this site. Best of luck to her and her fiance' and we are happy that she found the love that she was looking for .Please tell her to not mind the mean spirited commentators(they are cranky,unhappy folks:-) ).

The interview that is posted over on the William thread William says they are not allowed to get in touch with the contestants on the show till after the MTA but yet Ben F is tweeting to Nick not counting other past contestants so what's up with that .

One of the show's producers is tweeting with Ben about his wine. I don't see this as Ben bucking the system when the producers are participating.

Well someone asked a question and I answered, which was jmho...If one contestant said you are not allowed to contact the others until after the show and Ben is tweeting to Nick imo he is bucking the system, if he knew this before hand.....

What is all of this hoopla about her being on DWTS. Sounds like a rumor to be. The season hasn't been cast and I'll bet she's probably over the public ridicule. She has technically graduated from PENN and is finishing the course work now so, technically, she is Ashley Hebert DDS.

She made a foolish mistake in trusting that a guy was who he said he was. I'll bet it's happened to half the people posting who are calling her dumb and stupid.

I don't think she technically graduated, but technically, her CLASS graduated, albeit without her. After she does complete the degree requirements, then she would be technically graduated, though I still don't know if the title of DDS is appropriate. Wouldn't she need to pass the licensing exam first?

I shoulda googlied before I wrote. The D.D.S. distinction would be appropriate once Ashley completes the degree requirements.

I can settle this debate because I am in the same dental school class at Penn with Ash. She left October-Dec to film the Bachelor and she left March thru May to film the Bachelorette. She basically missed her whole senior year with us-the most critical year to work on patients and learn real clinical dentistry. We graduate based on "points"- for instance you get 3 points for 1 fillings... And we need 1575 to graduate. Ash is wayyyyyyyy behind. We all graduated May 16 & Ash came back to clinic May 23... Shell be lucky if she actually graduates by the late fall. Plus, she didn't take the licensing exam w us, so even if she gets her degree she won't be able to work on people until she takes that. PS WE get a DMD, not a DDS.

What does DMD stand for?

How many days are you allowed to miss? I ask this because the schools I am familiar with, one can miss three to six days before they are dropped from the class.

Penn dentists graduate w a DMD = Doctor of Dental Medicine Ashley got approval from the restorative and clinical departments at school. Most of us - being her fellow classmates were excited when she was on the Bachelor... But then we started to get annoyed when they allowed her to miss so much for The Bachelorette too. There is no cut off to the # of days you can miss, as long as it's approved by the dean. She missed out on our whole senior year though :-/

Awww thanks so much!! I know, we are all STOKED to be done. Dental school = worst 4 years of your life! so Ash has always been reallllyy bubbly and energetic. She's affable and not quite as annoying in person as she comes across on the show. I think the editing does make her look a little worse. there are only 100 people in our dental school class so we all get REALLY close after spending 10 hrs/day for 4 years together.

Ash was a great student... But we are all totally Type A and are obsessed w getting As. She actually was starting to apply for the Pedodontics specialty but that process conflicted w The Bachelor. She decided to do the show instead. She went on dates ( I don't want to say w who and stuff) but she never had a boyfriend these past 4 years. Yeah since our class is only 100 people we would go out every weekend together.

I'm doing a residency in general dentistry! I'm very excited! Thanks so much for your kind words! I decided to post bc I graduated so I finally have time hahahah and because the debate on whether she was a dentist yet was killing me! Hahaha They called her a Dentist on the Bachelor bc originally my school didn't want to be associated w everything. They didn't want reporters to show up at Penn & disrupt the clinics & the patients. I think that's what started the confusion on if she was a dentist or not.

General dentistry gives you the best of a lot of different worlds! I think it's a good place to start for someone who has just graduated. (My knowledge of dentistry comes from having managed a few practices, and having 3 pals from high school that practice.)
It drove me nuts, too, that Ashley was identified on the Bach as being a "dentist" when she clearly wasn't. I wondered what her classmates felt about that as they were busy studying, and if UPenn was happy or sorry about all the publicity, especially when things turned sour for Ashley on the two shows. Will you be watching her on Jimmy Kimmel after the show tonight?
