:halo: I agree, you really only saw sparks with Kari! Makes me wonder if Angela came to that conclusion after the show aired & she saw his one on one time with Kari! That kiss when they did the "trust" exercise was like no other!!

It is possible that Ben went on the show with the intention of choosing Kari at the end (just a guess). Let's face it, he could not be bothered with the other girls so long as Kari was around. He was focused on Kari like a laser beam. I think the other girls realized what was going on and began to plot and complain. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them threatened to quit.

From the MMs and the production team's perspectives, that could not be allowed to continue. I guess, they got Matt Hussey to constantly question Kari's motives and get into Ben's head. They needed Kari off the show to get Ben to pay any attention to the other girls.

If Ben really wanted Kari and he let her go, then that was such a blunder. Matt Hussey was constantly ripping Jenna too, but it seems Tim stood firm. Ben's break up speech to Kari was just incoherent and sad.

If Ben's feelings for Kari were really strong and he wanted her to stay and rekindle their relationship, it shows his weakness for allowing the MM to manipulate her off the show, if that is how it went down. There is a real question of whether he was manipulated or whether he just realized she was not the woman for him. Who knows?

Despite Ben's obviously good job and his standing in the business world, he comes off as very weak in the commitment and relationship department. All that lip hockey really meant nothing in the final analysis.

I believe her when she says that he asked her repeatedly to go on the show. This is a really important point. It tells us alot about his character.

If he was truly interested in Kari (and it seemed he was on the show) then why the hell didnt he sort that out , in real life, before he agreed to do the show? What the heck was he thinking? How was that fair to anyone ?

And why didnt Kari just say - if you want to date me - then let's date in real life. Why would she agree to go on the show? Did she think that was the only way to "get " him back in her life?

It doesnt add up and I feel we have all been manipulated.

Kari left him......RFL gave him the opportunity to dump her. Who knows his motives. The thing about Ben on this show is that he reminded me of Bob Guiney kissing all the girls. No reservations

I agree. None of it passes the smell test. Throw in the part about Kari's bf being Tanner, the toe sucker from Emily's season, and you get the vibe that these people were all about their 15 minutes.

Plus, how does Tanner feel about her saying that Ben was the one that got away, despite the fact that she was dating Tanner before. He's OK with that?

I know. She did dump Tanner for Ben, but then he took her back after she was booted?

I am no expert on this love triangle but my impression has always been that Kari's heart is with Tanner. I think that Lindsee or one of the gals said that she talked about Tanner all the time. When Kari/Tanner broke up ... or IF they broke up, what better way to get Tanner's attention then to go on a reality dating show since Tanner was either on Jillian (or Ali's) season.

My impression also is that she and Ben dated for a short period (maybe a few months) and Ben was all about work so that's why she dumped him.

I can see Ben (or producers) pursuing Kari to go on show because of the story line ... "the one that got away" ... Ben even alluded to that on AfterBuzz ... something like, he thought that viewers would be able to relate to his situation.

This show is just way too whacky!!! The only thing that I believe is Jenna & Tim are in love. No wonder that's the storyline that got the most attention for first few episodes before yanking.

I noticed an interview with Angela that she stated Ben was very work oriented. She is doing interviews like crazy, tells me fame was her motive. Also, I really am beginning to think these people all know each other. Seems like a crazy little circle of people looking for 15 min of fame.

If Kari's heart has always been with Tanner, then she is quite the vixen. That chemistry we saw between Kari and Ben seemed real to many viewers. Not only did she fool Ben, we (viewers) were all conned. Again for someone whose heart is else where, she seems to spend a lot of time on Ben related issues via twitter. Why is she retweeting all those messages from people who think Ben made a mistake by not choosing her? She shouldn't care, but it seems to me she does care. She goes out of her way to tell us how head over heels she is, with pictures and all. She spends time tweeting stuff about Ben and deleting them. Shouldn't all this time and energy be focused on her "Tannter Wannter"?
