Re: Episode 6 - 5/14 - Ready For Love - Discussion - Spoilers
The Jenna, Shiam issues did not just start. In the 4/30 episode
When Jenna started to speak Shiam put her hands to her ears
Then called Jenna young and is not old enough to know about love
Again Hailey jumped in and said she agree with Shiam. It seems that these girls were ganging up on Jenna for a few episodes now. At least Jenna was mature enough not to tell them to shut to F up.

iamreal2u, I strongly agree with your last two posts. I had written up in detail why, but somehow I lost more than half my post...and I'm not going to retype it...sooo aggravating!!!
Suffice it to say, the girls and Jenna seem to have worked through whatever tensions may have been there between them. It's forgiven and forgotten. They seem like a close group now. Hailey has even made fun of Jenna on twitter in these last several weeks for her eye roll. If the girls have moved past it with Jenna, then I'm certainly not going to hold it against her either. It's a complicated and tense situation to experience dating the same guy in front of cameras, and then to have to dissect it in front of a live audience. Enough said.

Thanks for pointing this out! Hailey is by far my favorite out of Amber's gals (with Siham my least favorite) and the three of them clearly have a friendship going. They are all three SO DIFFERENT so they probably don't feel threatened by each other. Each brings something unique to the table. And, the one thing Sara, Hailey and Siaman all have in common is their acknowledgement that Jenna is the frontrunner. That has probably helped along their bonding.
ETA: I have to laugh ... I just don't know the spelling of the brunette French one's name ... Siaham, Shiam, Siaman ... whatever... good thing that she is hopefully leaving next week

I know some are saying that Jenna's time with Tim wasn't shown because it'd be too obvious but I'm assuming the matchmakers saw it, right? And yet Amber still tells Sara that she's betting on her. And Tracy says it's anyone's game. Interesting, no? I also don't know that the matchmakers not sending Jenna down really means anything - wouldn't the producers, after what happened between Shandi and Ernesto, hope for something like that to happen between Ben & someone or Tim & someone? JMO.
I'm not trying to convince you CSW to change your mind or thoughts on Jenna personally. That I could case less about... I group all of these folks into the same group: Narcissists But for the sake of a storyline/editing discussion I think there was a reason for what was shown what wasn't.
I don't know if it was obvious on Tim and Jenna's date (maybe he said something revealing, maybe not), but if Jenna isn't the F1 they need to show Tim rejecting her and being drawn to someone else. It seems faked/forced when they only show Hailey and Sara's times, but leave out Jenna's all together. If Tim was really falling for another girl we would have to see he connection with Jenna begin to slip. Based on Jenna's tweets regarding the date they didn't show, this was not the case. I'm not going to assume their connection fizzled this week just because it wasn't shown. They had to show us how awkward his time with Sarah M was so we understood why he rejects her. If he going to reject Jenna they are going to show us why. Cutting out her time this week only made me more curious of what really happened on that date.... especially if it was filmed after his time with Sara and Hailey.
Regarding the MM's, I think the ultimate goal would be for the F1 to have never been sent to the garden. Being sent to the garden tells me that the MMs think it might not be a good match. Yes, Shandi was sent to the garden and they had a beautiful moment, but there must have been a little seed of doubt planted in Ernesto's mind that the MMs thought she might not be the best match. Post show evidence seems to support that. If Jenna never gets sent to the garden I would think that means the MMs are supportive. JMO Also, I think the matchmakers are going to say whatever is relevant to what the audience is shown. I could see with my own two eyes that Hailey and Sara made leaps and bounds this week without them having to tell me that. How could they comment on Jenna's situation when the audience (us sorry, not the live) has no idea what happened?
At least we have a horse race now.

I think Siham knows deep down she does't have a snow balls chance in hell of winning Tim heart. That being said Siham showed her immaturity by droping the  F bomb.. also :Frown: I didn't appreciate Sara and Hailey putting there two cent in either. IMO

I don't know.. would she be professing her love on national television if she thought she had no chance? I want to echo what another poster said, Siham started this by saying on stage that Jenna was too young. Siham seems like a very passionate, outspoken person. I think she may stir the pot sometimes. I also think Jenna's feeling are written all over her face. She can be seen rolling her eyes from the very beginning when Tim meets the other girls. Not sure she realizes she is doing it. I guess now she does. Lastly, I am so cynical after watching the bach for years. I don't believe the guys have no say in who is up for elimination and I don't believe that the MM are deciding on the stage right before they announce it. I think it's all planned out ahead of time.

^^^^agree agree. I have already heard Tim's voice added to a date where it obviously wasn't said then. Of course they are trying to throw us off. It is a TV show. Please the drama with Alba coming back and Guliana hears it in her ear piece and we watch Alba make her way up to the stage. Anyone who thinks other wise will be very disappointed IMO.

I don't know about RFL, but I do know with TB, some of the contestants are aware of how they will be portrayed on the show, based on their personalities. I had an in depth convo about this during my interview with David Good. Wes knew he was going to be portrayed as the villain and so did Jillian. He did it for the exposure for his music. And yes, bad attention is better than no attention. David Good with his whole "mancode" thing with Juan got himself a book deal and national recognition on the media circuit.
I also know that most of the contestants are "played" by the production team. They ask questions and tell them things to get the reaction they want. Every one of the final 4 are led by the producers and the lead to believe they are F1. That's why most of them are in a state of shock when they are eliminated.
Eva hired some of the producers from TB for a reason. They know how to successfully produce a reality tv dating show and get the result needed.
As far as Siham, from what I've seen, she is a genuinely passionate person. I would expect her feelings to be what she perceives as "real" in the moment and post show has come to realize like most, that they have been played.

What I could find about production just from some simple web searches was that most of the producers had a common thread in that they produced Biggest Loser (another NBC show).
Only one of the film editors came up as producing the Bachelorette.
The two story producers I found were also affiliated with NBC shows, except for stints with Big Brother and a few (what I could only guess) "trash" reality TV shows.... Prom Queen, and let's get drunk in Vegas type stuff. How romantic. The associate story producer was the same one for Gulianna and Bill's reality show and Fashion Star. When Karri Leigh Mastrangelo was with the Bach she was also considered a story producer so maybe this was also her job on RFL.
From what I could find they share two field producers, and one executive producer, Jason Ehrlich (I knew that name looked familiar) . I found it funny that they even share one casting producer. <--- no wonder there is all this talk about RFL dipping into the Bach casting pool.
Anyway, this might not mean much, but it seemed that for the most part production was from other NBC affiliated shows. However, they made sure to have at least one producer/editor from the Bach franchise in every department.

Great job sleuthing, noobs! The formula is pretty standard on how to get what you want out of cast on reality TV. Jeremiah was on SHA with a whole different set of producers and also on the set of The Hills. Same formula used in both of those shows as well. They messed with his mind so bad on SHA it was totally disgusting. And he was the F1!
