Hi y'all, new girl here. I got hooked on RFL and was googling Sara's name (tim's girl) and accidentally found this forum.

I wasn't drawn to Ernesto in the beginning, but he has grown on me. So has Shandi. When I read this entire thread (all 24 pages so far!) I felt sick to my stomach. I sure hope there's something good that comes from all of this.

I don't know if anyone's mentioned this yet, but it seems interesting to me that a lot of people are begging NBC to put the show back on the air (like on the show's FB page), but Eva doesn't even mention the show on twitter anymore or seem to lobby for its return. I think that is incredibly odd for a producer of a show.

In the case of Ernesto, I explained to him that together we can perhaps knock down a few bricks during this season one. In other words, we don’t have to tear down the wall entirely, because “Ready For Love” is not a dating show about getting down on one knee in a rushed proposal at the end. My goal with Ernesto is simple and realistic; let enough light shine through the cracks that we create so that he can get a peek of what it looks like on the other side.

I feel it’s the same with dating in general. It’s so important that people don’t place a huge expectation on themselves — or on their date. Don’t base how you feel about the other person on what your desired outcome is, but rather from where you are in your own process — i.e. new to dating, still healing, growing, etc.

You don’t have to find your perfect match in every man/woman you sit down with, and no one said that you have to marry every man/woman that you enjoy dating. Perhaps like Ernesto, it’s just about experiencing what it is like to fall in love for the first time. Baby steps.

He went on the show to increase his public awareness and she supported that.

Are you saying that they were dating before he went on the show? If so, wouldnt there be some public trail of the two of them at the same events, or in the same cities, or photographed together? She's a very recognized celeb. She does not fly under the radar.

As to Ernesto's motivation - I think all three guys did it for public awareness.

Ben is pushing his "Build your own ladder" business consulting/motivational concept. He's not just a hospital administrator who wants to fall in love. Kari said he asked her to go on the show repeatedly. If we believe her, it was a total manipulation of both Kari, all of the women he dated on the show, and the audience as well. Did the matchmakers know? I doubt it.

Tim has his band to promote. Yes they are successful. But you can always use more PR and the band was unusually prominent in the first episodes. It reminds me of Andrew Firestone promoting his wine. There was a bottle, perfectly turned to the camera angle, at every opportunity.

i don't think it flew under the radar. but i think it was mis-reported. when the show was put together and interviews were done and contestants hired, eva was in an on and off again relationship with eduardo cruz (penelope cruz's brother). they broke up in march 2012 or so and in april reports surfaced that eva was spotted at the la zoo kissing ben. i think it was really ernesto. see: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] But if it was really ben and not ernesto, that's makes it even worse. in that afterbuzz interview ben even mentioned something about his friends asking if he was dating eva back when the show was about to be taped. but my guess is that it WAS really ernesto

a month or so later she was back with eduardo and they were seen all over europe together. but in late june 2012 they broke up again, which is just about when the RFL group was reassembled for shooting. eva then dated mark sanchez for a while and then was seen late in the year hooking up with eduardo, but that didn't go anywhere. i can't find the story online, but supposedly eduardo posted some biting comments about eva on twitter when they finally broke up, saying something about how some people just can't change the way they are, or something to that effect.

after the final episode is released online, the truth will probably filter out as no one will be under contract anymore and whatever is going on between eva, ernesto and the other girls will come to light.

Also - truth is always stranger than fiction. I really do believe she is with Ernesto because they were in San Antonio (of all places) and DC at the same time.

I live right outside of DC and I can tell you it was all the buzz here. Opinion here is they are definitely dating and actually look like a married couple. I totally think they are dating and seriously. Now about the Ben thing I will see if I can dig any dirt up on that. I could ask Kari and see if she would tell me. She seems to be spilling a lot lately. She isn't hiding her conversations with me on twitter and Ben was on some of our tweets so he definitely knows what she is saying. Haven't gotten any responses from him other than clarifications on his interviews in print, and funny jokes, etc I asked him straight out all the Kari questions. He even knows how some people are perceiving the champagne toast thing. Nada response from him. He might be taken off guard that Kari is talking. Who knows what type of agreement they had. But he has pissed her off now so I think anything is game.
