Catherine & Sean Tweets/Facebook Updates - Thread #2
Wow. I'm a bit late coming into the game and there is not introduction thread so I guess I'll just have to start here
I've watched The Bachelor since the 1st season but it seemed as if relationships went downhill season after season so I jumped off the Bachelor Bandwagon looooooong ago. Somehow during Mesnick's season I let my feet lift off the ground once more and plunged my Piscean head back into the clouds in favor of a happily ever after for him...only to tumble down to earth again and land of my azz. LOL. Needless to say I never thought about turning back again but I did just a few days ago and I'm must say I'm content that I did. In all the seasons that I've managed to weave through I'm happy to say, this season...made me genuinely smile from the heart and inside out. Thanks to two people who kept this season's Bachelor very real and very much in perspective no matter what gimmicks the network came up with to spice things up.
Everyday relationships end up broken and discarded all the time, so of course a relationship born of television, outside of that isolated space will not have the potential to work unless the two people involved in the relationship work at it and grow together especially away from the public's eye.
I'm glad that Sean and Catherine has found a way to work at their relationship together regardless of the mass media's speculations and our speculations as well. Does everyone understand it? No but just so long as it's an understanding between the both of them, that's all that matters.
I share a common thing with each of them.
1. I'm a devout Christian.
2. I'm Asian American (though sadly not mixed. drats. everyone has their own beauty but mixed people are the most beautiful in my mind )
So I understand why Catherine may live very a independent American lifestyle but also have such deeply embedded traditional (Asian) morals.
Yes, I can like a guy, hell I can even love him with all my heart but does that mean I'm going to maul him in public and show off to the world constantly? Of course not. Which girl with any degree of decorum and respect for not only the person she's with but also for the people she's around will do that?
Traditional Asian elders such as Cat's mom and grandma and even my mom and my grandma absolutely have a hand in our upbringings. It's not that there's no emotion or love there, it's that there's a place and a time for all that away from prying eyes. Intimacy for the most part is a very personal matter for girls like us. Does that mean we're cold and unfeeling creatures? No. It just means that what we want to express to our significant other belongs solely to them, whether it is a warm embrace or a passionate kiss. It all does not have to be shown in the venue of PDA for the world to see. They've done their share of that on the Bachelor already whether they liked the camera trained on them at the time or not. That should be sufficient for us as an audience (though the fangirl in me giggles and smiles at any glimpse of PDA between them in public and that's what makes it all the more special). Most of us are guilty for rating feelings and emotions based on the amount of public displays of affection.
I'm also a Christian and my dad a Pastor so I can honestly say I understand where Sean is coming from with his morals and values. Combine his morals and values to Catherine's outside of TV land and we are going to get a couple that for the most part, is not going to express themselves in the ways that the public expects them to in order show their emotional depths for one another.
Though, we will get a couple that knows and understands what dedication and support for one another is. We are going to get a couple that is passionate about one another behind closed doors for the most part. We are going to get a couple who will take things at a pace that is comfortable for them and not feel like they have to answer to anyone.
I think this is why people are making so many speculations, because people in general cannot stand the idea of not knowing.
As for me, when I read something good and nice or see a picture of them just holding hands my heart already skips a beat for them.
Does that mean I need to know their every move in their relationship? No, but I believe they both have the maturity to make it work for them in the long run if they stick together through thick and thin, as well as give each other the love, support as well as space they both may need in order to have a happy and healthy relationship.

Great post. I am glad to "meet" new people who have a very good understanding of the dynamics of Sean and Catherine's relationship based on their personalities, cultural background, and Christian values. The public in general does not get it. It just goes to show that pop culture (in songs, movies, tv shows, etc.) reflect very little of the values this couple live out in REAL life. Sean and Catherine spend time reading the bible and praying every day. Of all the different aspects of intimacy, I believe that the strongest is spiritual intimacy. It is only by God's grace that couples can be MORE loving, MORE generous, MORE forgiving, MORE faithful, MORE honest with each other than in any other relationships they have. By our own human efforts alone, it is hard, if not impossible, to be MORE. My prayer is for Sean and Catherine to meet more couples like them who share their values. Kudos to them for the way they are handling all the hoopla with such grace and humor.

The Jimmy Kimmel interview was the one I have been waiting for and he did not disappoint! Sean couldn't stop laughing and I was dying! Cat looked cute as usual and Jimmy was relentless with his sex questions but in a good way! I loved it and all SeanCat fans must watch!!!! Long live Jimmy! Haha!

Love_Me - YAY!! Thank you soo much! It work's now and Thank you for the warm welcome Now I know what everyone is talking about how Sean forgot to open sweet Catherine's door watched it this morning. And enjoyed a great laugh precious.
I can see why Catherine Re-tweeted a paparazzi clip because I'm assuming she wanted her fans too see how normal they are as a couple and how honestly it does really look like just a coincidence they happen to see Chris Harrison there too. Love how Chris jumped in the middle of their interview and said leave this couple alone. You go CH!!!
They seem so sweet, sincere, and genuine as a couple. They make it easy for fans to love and support them :pinkaw: It's strange but I don't know if I'm the only one that kinda saw the resemblance but the way we saw Catherine and Chris talking a bit, while Sean was answering some of the paparazzi's comments and questions. Catherine has such a playful bubbly personality you can tell reminds me similar to how Ashley would be talking to Chris. They both are such sweet, bubbly, laughable girls with great Man to spend the rest of their life together with. Honestly can't wait for their wedding this Summer, I wonder if they will do the BIG Wedding before the new Bachelorette Season begins or after hmmm... Can't wait though
Thanks so much Bachelornation/ Seancat Fans Can't wait for more Sean & Catherine
