Thanks so much. He does look sad. Either he really is, or it's part of the act.....to make people open their hearts more to him in case he is the next Bachelor.

I watched the video with the sound off, so not a clue what he is saying. What I did notice is that Ryan didn't smile his big smile at all, not even once in the two minute clip.

I find it funny when the masses crown the next Bachelor or Bachelorette even before the season is done.
Lets think back, Kiptyn was slated to be the next Bachelor after his Intro piece, I remember a youtube video someone created proclaiming him as such. Nope. Chris L after this sad backstory and Emily another candiate crowned the next Bachelorette. In fact whenever the pro-emily-F1 group would find clues etc in Brads blogs to show that she could be F1, someone would promptly post saying "but she's the next Bachelorette"/.
Instead of all these folks, we actually got Jake and Ashley (and Brad).

So I'm not putting any thoughts to this line of thinking till Ryan signs and is announced. But with the edit he is getting, I doubt he is who they are aiming for.
He probably made a scene (like Amanda in the Brits season) and got them mad, hence the edit. Just suggesting ?

He says it hurts to hear people say bad things about you. At one point he mentions Ashley and says something like she is wonderful. I think this guy is hurting, and I don't think he is acting. I think he has been knocked back on his heels and is reeling a bit right now.

Ali was proclaimed to be the next 'Ette......

They did want Kyp and they wanted Reid and they wanted Chris, and they wanted Chantal - and that would've been proclaimed early on if she hadn't been wrongly identified at F1.

thanks B = I believe you're right. I think TPTB took it too far and he's taking it badly.

What did Amanda do? I didn't catch that season.

Well, who are they aiming for as the next bachelor? I don't know if they didn't expect Ryan to have such a huge fan base, but he does. And after throwing him under the bus last episode he's still the most popular out of the remaining guys. They better start generating more fan reaction for the other bachelors then.

Like Bloomers, I don't think he was acting in the vlog. He just looked so deflated. I really hope he's OK.

Wonder if anyone saw Ryan or any press on his recent speaking engagement. It would be interesting to see how he is even though he probably had to pull himself up to do the speech there might be some hints as to his current state. I am puzzled by him. Part of me likes him a lot..he was one of my first faves along with Ben F. Part of me is worried that he comes across a bit too slick. But this video seemed real to me. This experience may help him in the long run with self awareness and perhaps help in dialing down the way he presents himself.

but other than the douchebag comment and really giving it to him when he let her go, she got a very good edit.
