According to the People article in the link below, it was filmed last summer. I saw a video interview with Tim Lopez on the Hollywood Reporter website where he confirmed that he fell in love with a girl from the show and that they're still together.

I liked the set-up quite a lot. It'll be interesting with three men and all their women (and do the guys ever interact?)...similar to "3"! I'm a sucker for reality shows about relationships, and I like that this one seems more authentic. I'm pleased with Tim's first choice of who to let go and I'm glad to hear he's still with his final girl. My opinion of him (and his music) greatly increased after watching.

Thanks!! That's a long time ago....I'm glad to hear that Tim and his lady are still together!

I think Renae Virata is the only Asian they have this season.She is also Filipino like Catherine :Smiley:

Lol...oh lord....have they not learned anything from "The Bachelor" at all?? totally gonna be the next generation of failed relationships by majority...but looks intriguing. (I'll give em that much).

I know the ratings weren't good, but I loved the show last night. Of course The Bachelor/Bachelorette will always be my favorite dating reality show, but it is nice to have something each week to watch until Desiree's season starts. Can't wait for next week! :)

I thought the lawsuit was against ABC by CBS but it was about Glass House because it resembled Big Brother?

I didn't watch the show and seeing how the ratings were not so good I doubt I will...with my luck, it would be cancelled just as I got into it. Does anyone know how many episodes it is supposed to have?

The hunger games comparison was spot on I think.

I may not like the live audience format, the whole vibe is anti romance. I am interested in what the matchmakers will say though,
that means there will keep drama to a minimum? I also like that "Bachelors" here are successful in their careers, even if Plain White T's is only known
for one or two songs.

Whoa, that is one of the worse reviews I have ever read about anything. I know the reveiwer is also not a fan of The Bachelor, but it seems to me Bachelornation has nothing to fear from this show.

Just watched the show online for the first time last night and I really like the quality of the men and women on the show (much higher quality than on the Bachelor US and Bachelor UK as a group in terms of look, intelligence and personality.) The presence of matchmakers is an interesting new twist to this dating show format as audience members can also learn dating techniques and strategies. However, I'm not sure this coaching is not too play acting and, therefore, insincere to the men.

I also don't like the competitive, game show feel/format of the show with the contestants going into a cube up and down as they are being eliminated. Too showy. It takes away from the serious relationship aspect.

Question for everyone. What is the general format of the show? For example, in the first episode, after Tim selects his first 9 women in front of a live audience, they immediately show the first date. Does this mean that the "live" bit was just a performance for after the fact, i.e. he chose the 9 women much earlier and were just re-enacting the selection process?

Looking forward to trying out this new show just because of the quality of the bachelors and contestants.
