Only one word....Finally!

So happy that Lazaro is gone. He was horrible in the group song and think he was ready to go. I wasn't shocked that Amber was in the bottom 2. I'm not feeling her at all and would be fine if she went home next.

One thing is unanimous... We all said, FINALLY!

People magazine is sharing that Lazaro now wants to be on Glee!! LOL As I wrote earlier, I bet Idol producers were scrambling to make a "deal" with Lazaro to get him out...Glee, same network...maybe they promised him an audition with Ryan Murphy if he would leave quietly!!

I was out for breakfast with my 80-year-old mother today. Also an Idol fan/realist, my mom and dad spent countless hours dialing while watching the Phillies in season one. She has now "determined" that Candice will be the next singer for Weight Watchers and replace Jennifer Hudson!!

LOL about the Glee thing. But, I believe that when it comes to TV shows that just because AI is on Fox, they could be filmed at totally different studios. Isn't AI filmed at the same place as ABC's DWTS?

No idea about the filming. I was just inferring that the shows on a network often support the others on their same network. I bet Idol doesn't want Lazaro anywhere near their own soundstage!!

There is no way that is going to happen. If he isn't able to learn a song in a week he is never going to learn in less time. He also has to act and dance.

I don't believe Idol can get away with nor would try to make a deal like that. If it got out that they were committing fraud with the votes they'd be in big trouble. Just like Bachelor, Idol loves to manipulate in various ways but don't believe it extends to messing with the votes.

Idol's ratings are way down...they could not afford to have a laughingstock close to (or even) winning their contest. Idol's reputation was clearly at stake.

They have blatantly manipulated a girl winner this season. I'm not naive enough to think that they can't (or won't) do anything they desire.

I am, obviously, only giving my opinion...but I believe it whole-heartedly.

Every season that there's a "Lazaro" there's always talk about what if they win and they never come close. Back when Dial Idol was relevant it showed that them in the bottom when they went home. VFTW and fans of these not so great singers involved a limited number and you can only power vote so much. Also as fans of other singers go home they often move their votes to someone else and it's not to the person who they feel is responsible for their person going home. I doubt very much that Idol is ever going to be in danger of having a Lazaro or Sanjaya type winning.

Now manipulating emotions and setting up the top 10 in favor of girls the way they did it this season is something they do. All reality shows are not so real in that way. You can always tell when they want someone home. Next it will be Janelle who gets the negative comments, etc because they're only going to want one country gal and that's Kree. Personally I'd rather Amber go but they seem to love her ------until they don't.

I'm not arguing at all, just stating my beliefs, Tammi. Each to our own. I'm sure you're not the only one out there.

Here's an article about the manipulations to get a non-WGWG winner of which I'm glad. I was ready to not watch after last season as yet another WGWG won over better singers. Don't get me wrong I like Philip Phillips a lot. I'm just tired of them winning over the girls and other non-WGWGs.
